Re: And Other Reasons there's no Snow in January
Here in Chicago, it feels like the goddamn spring. And yeah, its a little of both.
Notice how during warm winter months like these scientists and climate change proponents aren't saying AHA! But when it gets a little cold all the deniers are going nuts. Deniers have trouble understanding the difference between climate and weather. Its like a mental block that Jesus put in place for them.
Anyway, this time last year I was stranded in the city cuz of storm and ended up staying at my mistress's apartment. Did I say that out loud?

Re: And Other Reasons there's no Snow in January
[qs=Taq]At the beginning of the year we were told to expect a La Nina pattern which is usually cooler and wet. We have seen the opposite, more of an El Nino pattern./qs
You know, this is exactly what climatologists have predicted in regard to climate change. One of the affects of climate change is our predictions become less and less accurate because the models were all built based on current or past trends.

Re: And Other Reasons there's no Snow in January
Actually, no. No one is saying aha, not even the op. Everyone so far has said this is a fluke. Again, climate change deniers tend to say aha when the weather gets top cold. Nobody on this side is saying aha when it comes to unusually warm days. We know better than that.
You know, you should brush up on your reading comprehension skill. Or is this one of those Jesus thing again?

I'm referring more to congressman demint's igloo labeled "al gore's new house". Climate change deniers have trouble understanding the difference between climate and weather.

Re: And Other Reasons there's no Snow in January
Would you like to give evidence that some here is using the unusually warm weather as support for climate change? Or is this a Jesus thing again?

Re: And Other Reasons there's no Snow in January
Um, its a question, not a statement or assertion. A simple yes or no would have put this to rest.
Again, this thread isn't really using the warm weather to support climate change. If anyone has done so, please quote.
I do remember the weather service warning dire weather conditions this year. The fact that they were so off was predicted by climate scientists. Its got to do with the current models getting slightly less accurate each year due to climate change. And since the weather is a chaotic system, small changes can have very large effects.
