I have considered becoming a creationist devil's advocate but I don't know if I could do it. My M.O. is to blaze away at anything that sounds stupid and creationism is so stupid that I'd probably just be shooting myself in the foot. From this point on, I am a practicing Creationist. On the other hand, if Buzsaw sets the standard for effectiveness, maybe it is an attainable goal. My user name could be ringomartinez.

In the true spirit of creationism, I'm going to start it any time now. Meanwhile, I'd be glad to answer any questions on an ad hoc basis. How long have you been working on your thesis? Edited by ringo, : Added quote.

Yes, the paradigms that make no sense do get lumped together. You and the YECs are identical in the fact that you reject science.
I've been here over 8 years and I still get lumped by you people in with the YECs who's paradigm makes no sense.

No. The problem is that you don't understand what evidence is. The problem is that you, et al, reject any science supportive to to ID Biblical creationism and the existence of a higher intelligence existing in the Universe than what is common to humans, Science is like a prosecutor at the front of the court room pointing out that the bullet that kiiled the victim has the same striations as the barrel of the defendant's gun, that the defendant's fingerprints are on the gun and that the defendant had gunshot residue on his hands when he was arrested at the murder scene. The jury can see all of that evidence and agree what it is. Even the defense attorney agrees on what the evidence is, though he is welcome to put forward a plausible alternative explanation. But you, as the defense attorney, are claiming that it isn't a gun, it's a toaster. Unless every objective observer can agree on what it is, it ain't evidence. Muslim scientists agree. Christian scientists agree. Atheist scientists agree. Ergo, they are objective. But you don't even agree with other creationists. Ergo, you are not objective.

I agree. That does happen sometimes. Too often, counterpart respondents resort to personal attack, demeaning remarks and unkindness in general. Of course, the creationists tend to be much, much worse with their arrogant and abusive attitudes but we should hold ourselves to a higher standard. Unfortunately, sometimes it's hard not to treat petulant children like petulant children. As probably our oldest member, you should be showing them an example of maturity instead of going into petulant second-childhood tantrums of your own.

For what it's worth, I'm still hanging on at EvolutionFairyTale after almost a month and 130 posts. My posting privileges are suspended but they've magnanimously offered to reinstate them if I promise to play nice.

But, I would not be willing to say there is a connection between being a creationist and being a conservative.quote:Paraphrasing: I wouldn't say that creationists tend to be ignorant but I would say that ignorant people tend to be creationists. I think there's a tentative connection there.

Here's an adventure for you that might be less futile: learn some science. Go figure why creationists regard this site as an adventure into futility? Learn what the Big Bang is before you try to refute it. Learn what evolution is before you try to refute it. Then you won't look so ignorant and people won't feel obligated to point out how ignorant you are.

It's hard to stay on topic when you don't understand the topic.
Its easy to call someone off topic isn't it, if any words you type don't match the title of the OP you can say someone is off topic.

I think creationists have an everlasting Fountain of Cluelessness, which keeps them too clueless to Poe.
Cluelessness like this does not seem to be possible, therefore I just assume we are being Poe'd
