Odd how the U.K. uses metric in everything except their coins and bills, but in the USA that's the only place they use base ten.
These are things that can make you scratch your head....
Also: Astronomy has both parsecs and lightyears, which are roughly in the same magnitude of size.
Just my tuppence.
