EvC hasn't been "taken over" by one side; it has been abandoned by the other side. That might be because creationism as a movement is practically dead (God willing).
Or it might be because Percy runs a pretty tight ship when it comes to providing evidence for claims. Of course, science is a tight ship.

Actually, I think dogpiling is a good thing from the minority point of view. They can say they're too busy to answer everybody. They can choose to field only the grounders. They can complain about the posters who are less polite.
It's an ideal situation to claim you were shouted down - as opposed to a place like EvolutionFairyTale where they have to ban the minority because the majority can't keep up.
