Assault with a deadly weapon: Florida man charged with throwing alligator into Wendy’s
Authorities in Florida have arrested a man accused of throwing a live alligator through a restaurant’s drive-through window.
Investigators identified Joshua James, of Jupiter, Fla., as the man who tossed the 3-foot reptile into a Wendy’s last fall, according to a Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission incident report.
He faces three charges related to the incident: aggravated assault with a deadly weapon; unlawful sale, possession or transporting of an alligator; and petty theft. James, 24, was taken into custody and booked into the Palm Beach County Detention Center on Monday.
Twenty bucks says he also yelled 'See yah later Alligator!' when he pulled this stunt.

Re: Only in Florida
I'm not sure that's a sign of lunacy. If I had an alligator in my car, I'd throw it out and not care what it landed on. If it was a Wendy's ... so be it.

Maybe this will help a bit.

So you picked up a gator, decided better of it and threw it into Wendy's? Then you're a loon.

Nah, going to Wendy's was the mistake. Always. Alligator or otherwise.

David Wolfe
Once more an entry from perennial crackpot and charlatan David Wolfe:
The reason why the oceans are salty is that's what's needed to hold the water onto the Earth. If that didn't happen the water would levitate right off the Earth, that'd be the end of it.
Video here.

Brock Turner's Father
For those that might not be familiar with the case, a Stanford swim team student was found guilty of rape and was given a slap on the wrist as a punishment. Despite the lax sentence, his idiot father decided to chime in:
Brock Turner's father says son shouldn't suffer for '20 minutes of action'
quote:
"His life will never be the one that he dreamed about and worked so hard to achieve," Dan A. Turner wrote in the letter asking for probation. "That is a steep price to pay for 20 minutes of action out of his 20 plus years of life."
Well, if it was just 20 minutes of action, I guess it's ok. And I am sure David Turner would have been totally understanding if it was his daughter that endured a rape for 20 minutes.
This type of nonsense honestly reminds me of the Affluenza Teen and his moronic mother and father. It seems that once you are rich, the laws just don't apply to you.

Re: Brock Turner's Father
How did the duration of the crime become a factor?
Are we now going to have defense attorneys saying: "But surely life in prison is excessive for one second of shooting someone in the head"?
Or judges passing sentence: "Mr. Stibbons, not only did you commit the heinous crime of armed robbery, but you also took your fucking time about it. This court will not tolerate criminals who can't carry out heists promptly and efficiently, and I shall be awarding the maximum sentence."
