I was hoping that you'd be able to read. What I said was that your compassion for the members of a different culture is equal to the compassion that the Western democracies had for the members of a different culture (Jews) in the 1930s. You're putting law above humanity.

How does taking her mother away from her show compassion? And remember that that child is likely to grow up and want to continue her cultural practices with her own children. She needs lifelong compassion.Compassion is more than just projecting your own fear of castration on everybody else.

For the third time, the amount of compassion is the same - close to zero. If you think the comparison is inappropriate, you're the one who needs to explain.

We're talking about trying to stop FGM, aren't we? The laws against it prescribe prison for the offenders, don't they? You jumped into a conversation about imprisoning the mothers.
