In the 11th century that would have been Roman Catholicism, not Christianity. I see that your flag didn't exist until the 20th century, because you weren't an independent nation until then? but I always understood those European flags with the Christian cross to have originated with the recovery of true Christianity in the Reformation. Just a point of historical fact to be either confirmed or corrected, I'm really not interested in provoking you although you seem to have been provoked by everything I've said no matter how unprovoking I would have thought I'm being.
I consider the Reformation to have been the best thing that ever happened to any nation. Clearly you are of another and rather angry opinion quite apart from anything I might say or any tone I might take.
But another question: When you said your celebration of "Joule" was not Christian I did take it to be your original pagan holiday. Is that not right? Surely secularism wouldn't bother celebrating with a Christmas tree.
May it have been a merry Whatever in any case.

Thank you for your nice wishes, likewise I hope your Christmas has been nice.
I don't want to antagonize neither am I in for hurting others. I am just so unlike you when it comes to all things religious. It would be wise for me to just stop discussing with you since my white is your black. Cannot guarantee that I would however - anyway I would like you to remember that I don't WANT to hurt anyone but I understand that I may.

Re: How Christian is Santa?
Didn't the Puritans outlaw Christmas as a pagan holiday or something like that?
But a problem is that Luther is said to have brought in a Christmas tree. I haven't seen that debunked so I assume it's true.
I don't know about Luther's views on Christmas, but during the religious conflicts in 16th and 17th century Britain Christmas was a hot potato issue - their 'Christmas wars' make the modern American version seem tame. The Puritans were, indeed, opposed to the celebration of Christmas, as they saw it a popish festival with pagan trappings and, most importantly, an encouragement to licentiousness and sin.
During the time of Puritan theocracy in the interregnum, the celebration of Christmas was banned, along with gambling, theatres, sport on Sundays, and most things that might be considered fun.
The origins of the Father Christmas figure, who has nowadays become mixed up with the Santa tradition, comes from anti-Puritan satires; with the jolly old man symbolising feasting and celebration at Christmas.
