Re: Creation
9 And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so. 10 And God called the dry land Earth; and the gathering together of the waters called he Seas: and God saw that it was good.

One place? THE dry land..?

Re: Creation
There was no rain. There was lots of water from below the earth, and there was rivers.

Re: Creation
Animals and man after the flood presumably still had one big land mass to spread out to. This suggests the continents moving came after.

Re: Creation
Nothing in the bible says in any verse or chapter that which you claimed. Since many changes are recorded showing the world was different some time after the flood, having the continents separated at that time fits well.

North/South America are dry land and Europe/Asia/Africa are dry lamd - two pieces of dry land that are not connected. "THE" doesn't mean one piece.

Re: Creation
False. There is no evidence of the old ages science invokes, it is all based on one belief only, that the nature was the same, so things took a long time. Ha.

It makes sense and is the simplest explanation to consider that the migration after the flood happened on a big land surface. There are some bible commentaries, for example, that say that the continents separating were all part of the earth dividing in the days of Peleg, as well as languages etc.

I didn't claim anything. I asked YOU for book, chaopter and verse to support YOUR claim that, "a lot of upheaval, continental separation along with mountains being pushed up, happened after the time of the flood."

creation writes:

Since many changes are recorded showing the world was different some time after the flood...

Show them. Book, chapter and verse.

creation writes:

...having the continents separated at that time fits well.

But it doesn't SAY that they were.

Re: Creation
Yes. Spirits no longer directly dwell on earth with man. Life spans reduced 90% or whatever. Trees now take years to grow generally...

Sure, magic solves all your problems. With magic you can make anything up at all. My personal favourite is when a tooth changes into a coin if you put it under your pillow overnight.

Hi tangle,

tangle writes:

No rain = no rivers

Why that conclusion?

If the head river was big enough to feed 4 rivers to water the entire earth there would have been enough evaporation to cause rain. You forgot the mist that came up from the ground that watered the earth.

God Bless,

Edited by ICANT, : No reason given.
