Evolutionists are notorious for expressing objection when their quotes are used against them.
And they even lie about this - there's no end to creationist dishonesty, which is weird as they call themselves Christians.
We have no problem with creationists quoting science back to us so long as it's done with integrity - but it never is. It's always partial, out of context and/or downright wrong. It's also done deliberately to deceive. The number of quotes they lie about caused Talk Origins to list them all and get to the original source. The scientists themselves are outraged to be used like this.
Every time you do it, it'll come right back at you with full details of how and why it's a lie.

Useful video demonstrating how creationists use quote mines and why.

Je suis Charlie. Je suis Ahmed. Je suis Juif. Je suis Parisien. I am Mancunian. I am Brum. I am London.

But you won't find "quote mine" there.
You think that because a phrase is not in a dictionary it's some sort of victory for creationism? Are you really this desperate?

Uh, noooo. I proved that a statement from my link, that RAZD went into convulsive laughter about, is a true statement.
What you actually did was quote something from a creationist web site that concluded with....
quote:
They have tried to make quote mining a pejorative term, but the neologism has yet to be recognized by major dictionaries.
Which is almost beyond ridicule. It's hard to know where to start.
Let's try again, do you really think it's some kind of victory for creationist that a phrase hasn't made it into a dictionary?

Je suis Charlie. Je suis Ahmed. Je suis Juif. Je suis Parisien. I am Mancunian. I am Brum. I am London.

The term "quote mine" not being formally defined is significant however. It's now a largely meaningless term, completely subjective in how it's applied and defined.
Not being in a dictionary - because it's a phrase not a word - is not the same as not being defined. This is the definition from creation wiki, which you should have no reason to object to.
quote:
Quote mining is the practice of quoting out of context, sometimes referred to as a logical fallacy known as "contextomy". It is a type of false attribution in which a passage is removed from its surrounding matter in such a way as to distort its intended meaning."[1]
