Legacy Of The Words We Write
I know about Asgara, Buz and Robin better after they passed than I did while they wrote on the forum, thanks to the archives that we keep. In some ways, an individuals legacy is known by the things they say and do. The victims in any shooting or tragedy become personalized and better known...unfortunately...after their tragic deaths. Thankfully, here at EvC so far our members have died (I prefer to say passed since I believe in a continuing realm..) due to natural causes.

Perhaps it is at times when the media personalizes victims and villains that we as a people need to examine our social interdependence and realize that it is never about us and them but that it always we the people. Perhaps if we realized this the world would be a better place.

Words: Robin
I reread that play! Ironic that Robin made the following comment:
quote:
The world breaks everyone, and afterward many are strong at the broken places. But those it cannot break, it kills.

It kills the very good and the very gentle and the very brave impartially. If you are none of these, you can be sure that it will kill you too, but there will be no special hurry.

I have been away from EVC for a few months. Needed time to recharge.
With all the things in the world, Puerto Rico, Las Vegas, North Korea, now I see this. I am for a moment overcome. Asqara has been here forever. Though she hadn't been around alot for the last few years she was still here. Like many here I was aware of her bouts with cancer. Worried when there was nothing for long periods.
I remember her counselling me when I was a newer member. She helped me find how to express myself, while being a little less offensive.

I am truly sorry and heartbroken by your loss. I am not sure if this helps at all but it is not just your loss. It is all of our loss. Know she was well loved here also.

Facts don't lie or have an agenda. Facts are just facts

"God did it" is not an argument. It is an excuse for intellectual laziness.

If your viewpoint has merits and facts to back it up why would you have to lie?

Feeling a loss
Years ago I was able to spend time getting to know Asgara until MSN went away. Somehow we lost contact.

Still, I feel a loss. The world is diminished.

Asgara Deserved the Title
Sorry I have not posted earlier, but the loss of Asgara is a reminder to me of the loss of my late wife. Her passing has taken me this long to process.

While I only conversed with her over chat, it did not take long to understand what an intelligent, humorous, deep, and from what I know, truly beautiful person she was.

A tremendous loss to me, to this forum, and to the entire world.
