You obviously have no idea how bizarre, dangerous and really, really stupid that sounds to almost everyone else in the rest of the developed world.And Christians with guns is even weirder. If that's possible. WWJD?

You're a really stunning advert for Christianity Faith, all tolereance, wisdom and love. It just shines right through you.But just as a point of fact, you have both Muslins AND guns. Have you ever been to Europe? Do you own a passport?

I guess 'makes sense' means something different in the US. Something like 'makes no sense'.

People make all sorts of totally dumb arguments - and this is one - it obviously doesn't mean that it's a reasonable or winning argument or one that should be listened to.

He has told us why, apparently it's 'because he wants to.' And he justifies what he does by saying that it is legal for him to do it.His real motivation obviously isn't simply self-defence, he doesn't need all that gear just for that. Two wasn't it? In 'open carry' or whatever the bloody phrase is.Almost no one notices? Like no one notices a personal number plate, red lipstick or a Gucci handbag. Being noticed is really the point isn't it? If you were in the UK you'd be surrounded by armed police in seconds and spending a few years in jail. That is if you managed to evade the teenagers that would jump you to get their hands on an easy gun - or too. And a year's worth of bullets.

I had to nip out to the supermarket this evening so I grabbed my wallet, phone, car keys and a bag and left. When I got there I looked for the stuff I needed, paid and came home.I tried to imagine Jar's journey.Open gun safe, select favourite weapons for the evening, load both, check safety. Select spare ammo and clips and stash. Strap on holsters, load up, check secure. Which dagger for Walmart? Maybe the stilletto, slip it into sock. Glance in mirror, mutter 'I'll be back' and swagger out of the house having set the intruder alarms.Got to be careful now, everyone is a potential threat. Check out the young guy near the beans, he's looking dodgy. Pat the 45, just to check it's ready. Check lines of sight, don't get stuck with no escape route. The till area is particularly dangerous; no free hand when handling wallet and only way out is forward, need to get through there quickly. Don't forget the boy behind you.Car park looks clear, head to the car keeping close to parked cars, avoiding open areas as much as possible. Nothing to be done about a sniper on the roof to the right but why make it easier than it has to be? Check under car for magnetic device then drive out keeping an eye in the mirror for anyone following.Everything looks normal from the drive but you never can tell; patrol the perimeter and cautiously enter home from rear using remote to turn off alarm. Lock all four deadlocks. And relax. Pizza for dinner.Must be bloody exhausting.

Ah but you're forgetting the eternial vigilence. You never know when you'll be needed or a target.

Jesus commanded Peter, Put your sword away! My point is that if you think that Jesus would approve of you and Jar strutting around carrying guns and knives you're corrupting everything he's supposed to stand for.
