Little girl talking about snow flakes. They come down to your hand and then go away. And they get on your tongue.
And then there is California.
I was in Ventura when there were similar fires in the late 60s or early 70s. Our antenna site was on the hills north of town and I learned some of the crew had gone up to protect the site. That was crazy but we could not reach them by radio or phone so I went with another guy to get them out. We started back down from the antenna site when the fire jumped the ravine we were driving through and we had to drive through a tunnel of fire to get out.
Once down in town I realized just how close it had been and had to just pull over and set a spell.

We're waiting to see if there will be a Disaster Area Declaration and also to see if property losses will still be eligible as a tax deduction under the all new improved tax codes.
