Maybe an analogy might start to get through to her (we can always dream, can't we?).A stereotypical teenage infraction is/was to sneak into movie theaters to watch the movie for free. If they are caught, then they will be kicked out at the least and arrested or permanently banned at the worst. So if a person is in a theater illegally, he would be highly motivated to ensure that nobody notices him. The last thing that he would want to do would be to act in any manner that could draw attention to him, such as being loud and disruptive or picking fights. He would be highly motivated to act as the model movie viewer in every way.Another analogy would be a real-life spy. The best cover for a spy would be a drab person, a nobody that nobody ever notices. Go in all flashy like Bond and you wouldn't last a day.Similarly, if you're in a country illegally then you would want to avoid encounters with the authorities. You would not want to draw the attention of the police. You would follow the law and behave yourself all the time. You would even observe all traffic laws, especially the speed limits (hence driving slower than everybody else, a frequent irritant in Southern California -- we see it all the time).

I can't help but feel that this is a problem. I haven't followed the details of this story so I don't know all the facts; but it appears to be a story about some children being mean to someone.All this argument about whether the children really were mean or not seems to me to be missing the more important point - if this is a major story in serious, national newspapers; then you have a deeply dysfunctional press. Using longer words and more complex sentence structure to cover exactly the same sort of clickbait as a crappy, sensationalist shitrag does not make you a respectable newspaper.

Better yet, don't listen to propaganda at all. Two wrongs don't make a right. You won't find the truth by comparing two falsehoods. Yes there is. They're called "journalists".

I really don't know what point you are trying to make here. I would agree if your point is that they are making a big deal out of what is just a politically correct attack on the Left's favorite targets: white male Catholics at a Pro Life rally wearing MAGA hats. It's all fake news aimed at making the kids look bad. The media bought the story of the old Indian guy hook line and sinker, in which he made the kids out to be aggressors threatening him, but when you see the video it's clear that he approached them and was pounding his drum right in the face of one of them. That kid is smiling in a way that the media called a "smirk" and it could look like a smirk except that the kid said he was just trying to smile to show he wasn't a threat.According to the kids they were standing at the Lincoln Memorial as they do every year after the Pro Life event, waiting for their buses to take them home. There were these two other groups nearby, a bunch of black "Hebrew Israelites" who shouted foul names at the boys, and the Native American group led by this Nathan Phillips who walked toward the kids and pounded his drum in the face of one of them. He claimed the boys were threatening and were chanting "Build the wall." According to the boys they started doing their school cheers and chants to try to diffuse the situation, but otherwise didn't engage with the other groups and didn't say "Build the wall." They say you have to watch the whole video to get the true story and I haven't done that yet but I'm posting it below for reference, along with Tucker Carlson's report.Some stories made the kids out to be privileged though later reports describe Covington school as middle class and most of the parents as working class. The whole thing seems to have been completely fake news against a completely innocent group of kids.Since this story came out depicting them as racist aggressors against an elderly Native American they have been receiving some pretty violent death threats. But all they were doing was standing at the memorial waiting for their bus and the other groups were the aggressive ones, the "Israelites" with some pretty vicious racist namecalling, and the Native American man who had moved toward them beating his drum right in the one kid's face, and then telling a story of absolute total garbage lies making the kids out to be the aggressors.===========
ABE: I just found this following video which makes the events clearer. Turns out that Black Israelites were yelling at the Native Americans, not at the boys, at least at first, then they start calling the boys vile names.

Hannity is a conservative news source but he does throw down the gauntlet to these other media sources... I stand by my observation that both sides compete for business and embellish stories at times. I have argued that our culture is in a spiritual war and i believe that much bigger real actual news will overshadow this gossip fest that ee have now. I am starting a 5 day fast. That is a lie. They taunted NOBODY. They said NOTHING against ANYBODY. They did their school chants to drown out the hate from the Black Israelites, something they ALWAYS do while waiting for their busses after this event anyway. I would like to believe that there are facts and errors in equal part on both sides, but that's not true. The media are dominated by Leftists who hate Trump and all Trump's supporters and never miss any opportunity to magnify a lie that supports their bias. The Right, such as Hannity, are put in the position of having to counter the Leftist lies, which they do very well, without the benefit of the automatic audience the Left has. If you want the truth, or at least the other side, you have to go out of your way to find it. Hannity, Mark Levin, Limbaugh, Savage, Ingraham, Larry Elder, Lars Larson, Bill Cunningham, Ben Shapiro, are a few you should listen to.
