Gupta has published more than 300 articles in scientific journals around the world over the past 25 years. He has worked with more than 60 authors in India, the US, Europe and Australia. Talent said that scientists often question a fellow scientist's interpretation of data, but not the primary data on which the interpretations are based. This is one reason, he said, why no one had challenged Gupta before.
