Your analogy of the Big Bang to a race with constant speed runners fails to include something analogous to the effects of gravity, which is a fairly fatal flaw. Would you like to modify your OP, or would you like this promoted as is?

I couldn't suggest any improvements to your analogy that would allow it to retain the quality of being an argument against the Big Bang. If I promoted it there might be discussions about how gravity might be incorporated into the analogy, but people might also focus on other flaws that I didn't mention, such as that your analogy assumes that such things as a center of the universe and absolute motion exist.I'll just go ahead and promote this, it should provoke some interesting discussion and bring to light some subtle but key concepts related to the Big Bang.

To ICANT: I'm not able to find much in your posts that suggests constructive engagement of the responses to your questions. If you find it possible, it would be greatly appreciated if you would attempt to understand what people are saying regarding one point before ping-ponging on to your next point. Understanding the point people are making doesn't mean you accept it, only that you understand it. Once you understand it you may even find that you have a valid objection, and then you won't have to seek another random question to ask.To everyone else: If I could make a suggestion, you might want to think of ICANT's questions more as talking points around which to build explanations and not worry at all about whether ICANT actually understands them. Don't even worry about whether he's even trying to understand them. Hi everyone!I'm going to make a couple requests then close this thread until noon eastern time US so enough people have a chance to see it.To those explaining modern cosmology, some of the participants do not accept the explanations. Whether this is for good or bad reasons is not the issue. The explanations look very good in my judgement, and I'm sure lurkers are finding and will continue to find them helpful, so please don't drift off-topic into personal criticisms.To those questioning the explanations of modern cosmology, please confine your questions to matters of science and do not drift into off-topic swipes at science or other members.This thread will reopen at 12:00 PM Eastern Time US. Hi, Larni, if you would, please let moderators attempt to discourage Tesla from contributing unintelligible posts.For those attempting to follow along, Larni has taken Tesla's nonsensical Message 268 and plugged in cosmological terminology for floor installing. It didn't even make sense when it was just about installing floors. I doubt Tesla could provide the equation for something as simple as distance as a function of constant velocity and time. I don't believe he belongs in the cosmology threads promoting his own brand of cosmology, I am attempting to discourage his participating in this way in this particular forum. If he'd like to ask questions that would be fine.
