So I think evolution should not be taught in schools! Of course creation should be taught.

plenty
what is wrong with teaching an incredibly well-supported and robust scientific theory that makes no claim on the supernatural in public schools
The results! (poor kids brought up with no clue, no hope, no right or wrong etc.) Also, I might feel better if evolution was taught as supernatural, as it is a faith based religion of unbelief in God.

..Well clearly if your PHYSICS lecturer tells you something about BIOLOGY you should take his word for it over what a BIOLOGIST tells you.
Actually, if Bio teach has swallowed much of the 'we crawled out of a pond, and grew legs' faire, you'd be much better off rejecting their advice!

my opinion
.. It is a theory which holds nor religious principles or doctrine.
2. It deals with biology alone. Any learning of the theory shows us this, as you probably know.
3. It is based on "Theory" in the scientific sense of the word, and as we all know scientific theory
is/can be negotiated, whereas religion cannot be amongst the religious
The theory it seems to me always has, since it's hatching, an agenda to paint God out of the picture. That's not "biology" it's well called "religion" It's not based on science, but science falsely so called, some would say. --As far as it "can be negotiated" I can tell you it can't, in the sense that they must stick to their 'charter' of leaving the Creator out of the picture.

true!
Is there an correlation between lower levels of education and belief in creationism perhaps? The
more generally ignorant you are the more you are inclined to believe?
Well, you said it, how inclined to believe in evolution are you?

Re: Better Late Than Never
Not in public schools for sure. Sunday schools
and on the History Channel seems like good places to me
May I humbly suggest that since the vast majority of Americans believe in a Creator (Yes Jesus as well, most of them!) That any compulsary education reflect that. So, then, pagans and others MINORITIES could pay well to have some private tutorage! The seperation of church and state, I think is becoming obvious now, that the (mostly Christian) founders had in mind was more of a -let's not have one denomination, or church control the whole thing-. Not that the -nation under God- should force paganistic theory and doctrine on helpless children.

change
once they've
learned that populations undergo biological change over time
Does someone think godly science doesn't understand such things? The difference is the degree of change--man didn't change from a tadpole.
--We are playing a game of "saying it makes it so", right?--
Well, people who came to the new land departed from a situation where they could not believe as God them them light to see it. Also in the world's oldest book, where it talks of the future, we can get a good glimpse of how it will be. "All thy children shall be taufgt of the Lord" So I'd say evolution's days are certainly numbered!

Re: MOSTLY CHRISTIAN?!
Almost every single one of the founding fathers were Deists
Founders, I think were mostly Christian, I don't know about 'fathers' you could be right, I've heard both. Nevertheless, the fact stands Christians they were. If they weren't it was so predominent a lot of folks would pretend to be.

Re: Thinking For Yourself Requires Thinking
'scientists' at answersingenesis can write any garbage they want and their readers gobble it up without questioning anything
The world according to your opinion would be a darker place.

Re: my opinion
It can seem like an atheistic dream come true, but the actual
theory seems to only speak scientifically.
Good take it to some appriciative pagans, and leave the kids alone

Re: plenty
I would say you
have a problem because your faith has a problem
The problem is not in belief but in unbelief here. Stick to the facts in all sciences, none of which include evolution at all.

Re: change
but you really need to provide SUPPORT or a line
of REASON for what you write regardless of your age. "talks of the future...." talks of a
future that has yet to happen, right? Maybe you should be worshipping Nostradamus
I paraphrased a bible verse, if you want more support let me know. You don't seem to think much of the future.

Re: plenty
What results were you speaking of? Must have missed the actual support for your response
Results of a godless public school system. Drugs, suicide, murder, lack of faith, violence, etc.
Since you are such an open-minded person I suggest that we might as well go the extra
effort and teach both majority religions in the world today, Christianity and Islam
Let people teach their own what they want. I don't support the compulsary anti God education system at all. If it had of reflected a Christian majority, prayer, etc. I may have had a different opinion. My opinion now? "Let My people go!!!" Leave the children alone. I came upon a poem on the net the other day that kinda summed it up. Here it is
The Warning
Take not the crosses from our graves
Of we, who died for you
And take not Him, Whose cross it was
From our children's schools
The time of which all prophets spoke
Has come, it's not just near
Ten billion soldiers stand in line
Their warning's very clear
If you, with treachery, repay
Our children, who now live
We'll fight you from death's very doors
For this, we'll not forgive.
And this war won't be in vain,
When we, with Jesus, come
On fierce steeds, to take the earth
From us you shall not hide!

Re: Belief vs Accept
Believe is something you do without evidence
Like evolution. I know they feel convinced they have evidence but how it is interpreted is not science. You want your kids to learn it feel free. You want to force others, no way Hosea!
