The "Posts of the Month" forum index page.
These topics listed at the above page are still available for additions.----- Now for February 2004 (as per previous months):
quote: A link to the message, and perhap a SHORT comment would also be nice. But, this is NOT a place to debate the referenced topic - so be nice. I think that a fairly liberal use of this topic would be a good thing for indexing some nice messages that are otherwise doomed to be lost in the clutter. So, if you encounter a message that seems to say something of special substance, please give it a plug/reference in this topic. New month, same old message and routine,Adminnemooseus

Forum: Faith and Belief Thread: designing a convincing prayer experiment Post: 75 Though Percy does have the homefield advantage here his post is a wonderful summary of the deficiencies of Stephen ben Yeshua's claims of 1. application of "real science" 2. evidence of demons 3. evidence that prayer. Finally, Percy meticulously points out the overall inconsistent nature of SbY's position on various issues. This post almost makes up for his "Joralex wins" debacle in the Great Debate forum {Made the "75" a clickable link - AM} [This message has been edited by Adminnemooseus, 02-04-2004]

Is it possible to nominate a two-poster winner "thread of the month"?
Because I'll go with Natural Selection for Mike T. W., the posters in question being DBlevins and Mike the Wiz. No combat, just an honest attempt to teach someone, without any pressure for the person being taught to accept the idea or not before they have (and understand) all the facts.

Seconded. I wish this was the attitude that more people took on this site, from both sides. It is better to ask someone to clarify their position than it is to ridicule a distortion of it.
{Added by Adminnemooseus - I agree, but this is not the forum for discussion of things. Please take any further such to a better place.} Added in edit: Agreed, sorry for the intrusion. I am IMpressed!!!!
I nominate this for post of year, and it's only February! Creationists might reply that I only like this post because it agrees with much of my own thinking. While that harmony cannot be denied, I feel the real reason is that it demonstrates clear and logical thinking by a Creationist on a topic where Creationists never do that. Creationist thinking on the "evolution is religion" topic can be terribly muddled, but here Mike the Wiz not only thinks through the fog to issue a clear and well reasoned statement, he does it better than many evolutionists. Kudos to Mike the Wiz! I'm frankly amazed! --Percy {BUT - Please don't use this message as a springboard into debating the matter, in the context of the "POTM" forum. - Adminnemooseus} [This message has been edited by Adminnemooseus, 02-05-2004]
