Re: Pecos George strikes out
I'm honored, thank you.
You see, I believe if I do not speak when speaking is needed, the rocks and stones will cry out.
I may not have another opportunity.

Actually just a list of references with minor anotations - But Iasion does include a plug for his own site, which seems to be most noteworthy in relation to the topic theme.
That site is The Foundations of Christianity.

Just pointing out what seems to be an exceptionally well done discussion.
Please, no replies to this message. The "Posts of the Month" topics are not places to debate the topics cited. I (in at least the semi-admin mode) would prefer that no messages other than nomination messages be posted in the "POTM" forum.

Careful Thinking

and the post before.
Schraf did a good job of actually reading Dawg's post and thinking about it just for a minute. It was a "wish I'd said that".

Am I to assume by this that comments about the nomination itself, as was the case with my comment about the Pecos George nomination, are not to be posted?

Multiple posts
Here's my view:
More than one person can post the same message. This might be done by simply saying "Yea, right on!" about someone else picking the post you think is a POTM or it can be an independent nomination with your own reasons.
Additionally a reason or two can be given for why the post is nominated. That does blur over into agreeing or disagreeing with the post. THAT must not be carried on or done to too great an extent.
All that said, we really shouldn't clutter this up with all the extra stuff. Just getting this list of particularly good posts is what we should strive for.
