Re: Theory of a Cheese Moon untill 69
Personally I think the whole thing is about beliefs, as neutrally there is no reason to favour one theory over another. I apreciate that the evidence is apparently there for evolution,(i.e. I don't say scientists are dishonest) but epistemologically, evidence itself is not a powerful inference, and evolution is largely hypothetics. There is a large amount of evidence for creation, technically speaking, because certain facts are in place which would certainly follow if creation was true.
So please give some of these facts which would certainly follow if creation was true.

Re: Theory in science
No - that is posteriori, we must predict and then see if those predictions follow. The bible said there was a flood before knowledge of the fossils (facts).
Still you are predicting after the fact. The "Flood" occured before the prediction. Whether fossils were known before or after is irrelevant. The role of science is to search for the truth based on what can be observed and tested from which conclusions can be drawn. The fact that fossils were later shown to be remains of life further gives evidence to the creedence of evolution rather than creation.

Re: Theory in science
There are possible alternatives, and I find that the evolutionary explanations that answer for the problems we see, are insufficient. Living fossils for example - I believe flesh being preserved on dino bones , etc...all these evidences are more logically explained with the Creation model, and it is the job of scientists to prove otherwise, and protect their theory - but the explanations are poor nowadays because of the comfortable acceptance of evolution. Anyone who thinks deeply enough can find holes.
If one digs deep enough, one can probably find "holes" in any theory. That is what a theory is, the most logical explanation for a given problem. All theories are falsifiable. Even theories called laws are falsifiable. Mendeeleev's periodic law was partially falsified with the discovery of the proton. Thus when the law stated that the periodic state of the elements were periodic functions of atomic weights the was changed to atomic number and was thus modified and made more correct. That is how science operates.
all these evidences are more logically explained with the Creation model, and it is the job of scientists to prove otherwise
Actually it would be the job of creationists to prove their model not simply debunk the evolutionist model. Scientists do attempt to "prove"
otherwise

Re: Sophistry
That's true for the scientific community that it is a minority view that freedom is real, but for the rest of people almost all believe freedom is real.
Your own statement shows why this idea has little substance. Just thew fact that a large portion of the population believes in something doesn't give any more creedence to the idea than if only a few believein it. The has to be proof that the idea is sound not simply that people believe it. Just the fact that many people believe in ghosts, astrology,
and extra terrestrials doesn't mean that theses are real, just that some poeple will believe things without proof ie. faith.

Re: Good Planets and Evil Toothbrushes
You should think more about the signifucance of freedom. If you have many balls on your computerscreen bouncing of each other, and one ball acts freely by your choice, your control, then all balls act according to your choice. So to say if freedom is real, then it is fundamental for everything in the universe.
So how does the ball have any freedom if I am calling the shots. It seems that the ball has no freedom at all, which is what has been said in earlier posts by various members. Inanimate objects have no freedom.

Re: The Importance of Brains
Now we all know that the last is true, that creationism is true
BS, there are many who hold that creation is mythological + the fact that for creation to be true all physics laws would have to have changed, which is more fantastic that the probability of creation itself. I, also, don't see anticipation theory is even a theory, from what I've seen it is an untested hypothesis.

We all use the historical view in daily life, so we all know its true.
Who is we & historical view of what?

Read it back, does tme progress per decision on alternatives in the future, or doesnt it.
read what back? Alternatives to what? What is this fortune telling?

and then you complain of lack of scientific merit of a theory that is mathematically worked out and experimentally established.
And what theory might that be?

Re: Theory in science
How can Evolution be tested? Would you not have to go back in time and observe the evolution? Furthermore, can't you bend the theory of evolution to fit around any data? Please give an example of evidence that would disprove evolution?
Finding human fossils in Precambrian rock would be one way.
