Re: Why has a Ron Wyatt fraud got 400+ posts.
Gwyddyon, it's amazing to me how people can ignore our explanations for 18 years -- back in 1986 the late David Fasold brought a Molecular Frequency Generator out to the Noah's Ark site and used it to distinguish metal burried in the formation -- and people like yourself get on their high horse and keep calling it "a divining rod"! IT'S TIME TO STOP DOING SO! The machine is a legitimate machine, NOT wooden dousing/divining rods!! It works on the same principle has when you touch the rabbit ears antenna on your old TV set and the picture reception would improve -- so it is NOT a "divining rod"!! The control box is set nearby on the ground and would send out various frequencies that certain metals would resonate with, and the signal would respond when the person walked over the metal in the ground causing the METAL rods in his hands to close the circuit and be drawn to each other! And for those of you who are "scared" and "frightened" that it has the appearance of dousing, the company that makes these things at one time was planning to replace the metal wands with a GAUGE whose needles would repond!
Will you people please LISTEN to our explanations? We answer these things back in the 1980s and you shut your minds and quit listening and keep regurgiating the same old tired criticisms!

Re: Lennart Moller's professionalism
I disagree, but have only seen the short pieces visible on the website.
Moller's contribution to an archaeological excavation are as positive as mine are in a medical research center (which I happen to think is very interesting).
The excavation, as I see it, had no neutral objective, searched elsewhere when confronted with problems, never measured anything, made no drawings and measurents of the corals which were photographed, used no other tools but camera's and metaldetectors (and a somnar in the boat, to measure the gulf's debth).
This is against most archaeological principles which I was taught (and doubt have changed the last years).
The whole excavation was a desperate attempt to find proof of something. Strange looking coral shapes which can not be shown to be 18th dynasty wheels (because they can represent a number of other things/wheels) are the only underwater found evidence. The bones (which haven't been carbon dated yet) are simply just bones which can come from any period in time.

Re: My own Hypothesis
Yaro, thank you for sharing the coral covered metal valves -- believe it or not, we always want to see "everything" that might pertain to our research dealing with the chariot wheels. But you need to understand that we are looking at a lot more than just chariot wheels here -- the Red Sea crossing site and Mt. Sinai in Arabia is "a package deal," it's a combination of ALL of the evidence! We have supplied the entire route, we have matched it to the Bible's exact description of the Hebrews travelling from Egypt to Mt. Sinai, we have found the ONLY logical place where there is a natural underwater land bridge that goes across an otherwise very deep body of water (the Gulf of Aqaba), and this area has coral covered formations that resemble chariot wheels -- (remember, the wood of the chariot wheels is GONE, so all we can expect ot find here is coral-shapes that resemble wheels and chariot cabs and coral-covered bones and a FEW pieces of metal) -- and then the overwhelming amount of evidence at the Jebel el Lawz site in Saudi Arabia proves that it is the real Mt. Sinai! The entire top of the mountain is BURNED BLACK (the Bible says that God descended on it in fire!), the Golden Calf Altar is there (with Egyptian petroglyphs of cows and bulls on it!), the giant Rock at Horeb is easily identifiable (a 5-story tall boulder with a split down the middle of it with obvious water erosion at its base!), and there are other altars and ancient campsites, etc. -- which perfectly match the Exodus account in the Bible!
So there's a lot more to this than just the chariot wheels -- it's a combination of ALL the evidence that makes this a very good case for us having actually found the true Red Sea crossing site and the real Mt. Sinai!
And again, I worked with Ron for 10 years plus I managed his 1st museum -- my website is Pinkoski.com – Works of Jim Pinkoski -- trust me, this evidence is the perfect evidence for proving that these things really happened! But you must look at ALL OF IT, not just bits and pieces.

Re: Lennart Moller's professionalism
Lucy, as I just explained to Yaro, you need to pay attention to ALL OF THE EVIDENCE, everything that we have provided that pertains to the crossing site AND Mt. Sinai -- because the accumulated evidence is totally convincing!
How would YOU suggest that we do this work?
Do you know of a better way to dive down to find things at the bottom of the Gulf of Aqaba? It seems to me that we did it pretty much the same way that people searched for the Titanic or wrecked treasure ships -- you take a boat out and start looking!!
Or maybe you'd like for us to drain the entire gulf and do it that way? Or maybe to wait until the year 2067 when we have "really good" underwater exploration techiques?
Sorry, we didn't feel like waiting -- so we went and did it the "old fashioned way," we scuba dived and then used an under water robotic camera!
And you have problems with this??

Re: "Turf Problems..."
But that was not science. It was more of the same. A conclusion was made, that there is a Biblical Mt. Sinai. The issue then was simply to find it.
If you throw out the conclusion that there ever was something called the Exodus and look at your alleged evidence (and it is all simply alleged, none of it has been independantly verified) and ask, what does it show, the answer has to be...Nothing.

The "Molecular Frequency Generator" is just another name for the old Hieronymous machine. It doesn't work. Regardless of whatever pseudo-scientific explanations you happen to bring up.

Re: My own Hypothesis
We've already discussed the issue of the "land bridge". It turns out that it was just a hole in the database Wyatt was using. It simply isn't true that the area is that much less shallow than the rest of the Gulf of Aqaba.

Re: Classic argument from authority when you have no facts
I work with the most cited author in the information sciences - that does not make me the most cited author in the information systems - that's a quite sad "appeal to authority".

Re: Lennart Moller's professionalism
There seem to be a lot of problems with your evidence.
Since I haven't seen it, I can't really argue, but on this website and f.i overhere:
http://www.ldolphin.org/franz-ellawz.html
they have strong cases against it. And show links to others who have complaints about the work.
I do not agree with Ballard's work either, although he at least admitts when he doesn't find something. But Ballard doesn't mind removing artefacts with equipment which is rather shaky. So, destroying some other stuff while doing it. When things are very deep, I think we should wait until science makes it easier to excavate.
I know you didn't feel like waiting, but you could have mapped everything better. What were the chariot wheels positions in relation to;
eachother.
the coastline.
Where were the measurements which could show us a picture of the finds as they were in situ. Now we have no clue where each piece actually is. The search has to be done again for another group.
Drawings of the corals or a measuring stick should have been shown on the pictures, to show the wheels alleged size. Now we have nothing and so can't make anything out of them.
Underwater archaeology is simply much more than your team has done.
Lucy

Re: Why has a Ron Wyatt fraud got 400+ posts.
PaulK, did you notice that on Ron's website he explained that he did NOT depend upon the Molecular Frequency Generator for any of his conclusions? AGAIN, the thing was brought there by David Fasold, a NON-Christian, TO SEE WHAT IT WOULD DO -- but the main metal detecting was done with REGULAR METAL DETECTORS!!
Hey, if you guys were real scientists and really wanted to investigate the scientific potential of the machine, YOU would have tried it too! And that's all that Ron did.
As is, IT WASN'T NEEDED -- all the results Ron got regarding finding metal in the Noah's Ark structure worked just fine with regular metal detectors!
Let's see, we've been saying this for over a decade now . . . hmmmmm . . . seems to me that you folks are STILL not paying attention!

You, sir, are a liar!
The depth of the Gulf of Aqaba is DOCUMENTED -- it is quite deep on either side of the Nuweiba beach area that extends out into the water, AND THIS IS ON THE BRITISH ADMIRALTY CHARTS! There are even 4 marker buoys offshore at this area to warn ships about the shallow waters!!
You have absolutely no truth in what you are saying!

Re: "Turf Problems..."
jar, that's right, we DO assume that the Bible is telling the truth about the Exodus, and we, unlike yourself (who obviously just wants to sit at home at his computer and "pretend" that he knows it all), WE went and did some major archaeological work in Turkey and Saudi Arabia and Israel -- so, YES, we feel that we found some good evidence for these ancient Bible stories.
In case you didn't notice, a LOT of people trust in the Bible -- so it seemed like a worthwhile endeavor!
You're just irritated that we actually FOUND solid evidence for the Exodus, etc.!
Hey, there's a rumor going around that you once had a great-great-grandfather -- you think it's a waste of time trying to verify him too?
There's also a rumor going around that the earth revolves around the sun -- is it a waste of time to verify that??
jar, that is what life is for, to spend some time VERIFYING whether or not things are true or false!! The Bible affects the lives of BILLIONS of people -- don't you think it's OK for some of us to do some work to verify it to see if it's trustworthy or not?
Oh-oh . . . it seems that the guys who wrote that stuff 3,500 years ago were RIGHT . . . the places are there JUST LIKE THEY SAID!
Bummer. eh?

Of course it doesn't matter whether Fasold introduced it to Wyatt.
But Wyatt went on using it
