A question for the literalists --
Did Adam have twigs and berries beneith his fig leaf?
Here's why I ask...
Adam was created in God's image, but why would God, a unique being, have genitalia?
Adam was created with no anticipation of woman. Woman was only created at Adam's request, so why have reproductive organs on the sole inhabitant of Earth?
Seems like either God has a penis and testicles, and therefore is not "the one and only" or God didn't create Adam in his image - which contradicts the uncontradictable text of the Bible.

Spiritual Image...
So, Man was created in God's spiritual image...
And man's spirituallity is beholden to a higher spiritual being...
So, God is likewise beholden to a higher spiritual being...
So, who's the God that created God?

Re: Egyptians, hermaphrodites, similar but not the same
If God is a hermaphrodite, why not just make both Adam and Eve hermaphrodites. That idea's not tracking.
Additionally, if God knew that he was later make Eve, why did Adam have to ask?
And, since sex is such a sin, why not just go with sinless asexual reproduction like we've seen in other life forms here on Earth?

Re: The Lord has a penus and testicles
I think you're missing the point.
If God is an eternal, solitary being outside of time and space, why would he have a penis and testicles?
He doesn't drink, therefore he doesn't need to urinate. He doesn't reproduce, therefore he doesn't need sperm.
Further, if Adam had testicles, then God must have intended for there to be women, but Eve wasn't created until Adam complained. That doesn't make any sense.
On top of that, Eve wasn't created with a penis and testicles. Who was she modeled after? Why would God, who is alone and therefore has never seen nor needed a woman, conclude that his immortal creation Adam would need a companion which was unlike both God and Adam, the only two beings in existence?
Further, why have reproduction at all?
And why need a rib from Adam?
You see these are metaphorical myths. The more you look at the facts, the less sense they make. Just like the Native American myths of a world turtle upon who's back rests the Earth.
IT's all make believe.

Re: The Lord has a penus and testicles
So, according to you, God is male, the Holy Spirit is not God, but is a different entity which has a vagina and the Son is a 3rd entity which is also male.
Why then did God force Mary to give birth to the Son, if the Son already existed and the Holy Spirit also existed from which the Son could be born (but didn't need to be because he already existed)?
Again, this story doesn't make sense. It's a metaphorical myth, like stories about talking snakes and rabbits and turtles running races.
It's meant to entertain children and teach them lessons. Adults are supposed to understand the purpose of the stories, not believe them.
This immaturity on the part of the religious has caused countless deaths. Please stop.

Re: The Lord has a penus and testicles
You are talking in circles.
Here's a bit of math for you. If A = B and B = C, then A = C
If God is Male and the Holy Spirit is Female and the Holy Spirit and God are the same being, then you've got a real problem with your math.
Additionally, you still haven't answered the initial question. WHY? Why does God have a penis?
The penis serves to functions -- urination and procreation. God does neither of these things.
So, who gave God and penis and what were they thinking?
