Breaking the Spell
Religion as a Natural Phenomenon Daniel C. Dennett (2006, Penguin, NY, NY) We know that Darwin, in 1871, following the thesis and logic of Origin, let the cat out of the proverbial bag: Man imagined the idea of God (Conclusion, "Descent of Man"). Since our minds evolved from an ape, and Genesis says the same was a special creation product, the latter and the existence of its Deity is falsified IF the former is true. Objective persons understand this. In 1995, Dennett wrote Darwin's Dangerous Idea, and in it he summarized the entire Darwinian paradigm in two brilliant words "Darwin's inversion" (p.66) = matter caused Mind as opposed to the Genesis creation model of Mind causing matter. Darwin's theory is a complete inversion of what Genesis claims - diametrically contraposition. In short, again, if Darwinian evolution is true, the Genesis Creator and His Son are falsified - subjective Ken Miller nonsense aside. In context, Dennett and his fellow "brights" (as they call themselves, tantamount to nominating yourself) have built on Darwin's heresy. Page 106: Dennett accepts the main thesis of David Wilson's book Darwin's Cathedral: Evolution, Religion, and the Nature of Society (2002). While making it clear that he is not convinced with Wilson's entire thesis, the foundation ("Darwin's inversion") is secure.
Dennett: "....religion is a social phenomenon designed (by evolution)...." This is the atheist explanation for the existence of God and religion....could one expect atheists to believe anything else ? Imagine that....hundreds of millions of theists are deluded by evolution, and thank God that we have a handful of atheists to point it out. Ray Martinez Edited by Herepton, : No reason given.

Just like randman, do you have an education? Or are you reading some bullshit on the internet, reading some select books and following in the footsteps of some nut case “Dr. Scott”?
It’s amazing how you can quote these things and actually expect people with an EDUCATION to buy it . AIG can put together a list of people with degrees in the sciences and come up with 200 or so that question evolution...so what, there are some 500,000 people out there with degrees in the sciences, so less 0.1% of people with this type of education support your claims, that seems pretty flimsy don’t you think? What, a little to confrontational?

None of the posts so far have anything to do with the topic at hand. Get back to it now please or those posting in this manner will lose a few hours of posting time.

Atheist rant caused by the inability to refute. Your Darwinian/atheist disapproval supports my rightness - glad I didn't get it. Ray

Why doesn't someone explain how we know that nature didn't create atheism ? If it created religion, why not atheism ?
Why can't atheism just be what the Bible says it is: losers who couldn't make it with Him ? Ray

Atheist rant? What can I refute that hasn’t been refuted? You keep posting ridiculous statements copied from some crazy evangelist, that pretty much shows your ignorance, which is probably not your fault because you never got a formal education on these subjects that you keep attacking...and where’s this paper you keep talking about that is going to destroy all of evolution?
And quit your whining...what the hell does “Why can't atheism just be what the Bible says it is: losers who couldn't make it with Him?” have to do with your lack of knowledge about evolution? The problem isn’t that you pick these books up and attempt to post your argument for or against them, it’s that you haven’t been properly educated on what the hell the information in these books mean...so what do you and the other fudies do, you go to creationist websites to have them explain the information to you. Blind leading the Blind. Steve Rushin: "By the age of 18, the average American has witnessed 200,000 acts of violence on television, most of them occurring during Game 1 of the NHL playoff series."

Save your breath/typing fingers, this is the most coherent Ray/Herepton gets.
Just a monkey in a long line of kings. If "elitist" just means "not the dumbest motherfucker in the room", I'll be an elitist! *not an actual doctor

What can I refute that hasn’t been refuted? Your belief about yourself is well known and expected. The next logical thing to do is ask permission to have access to the Showcase Forum and debate with me, OR address the OP point. http://EvC Forum: Showcase -->EvC Forum: Showcase
You keep posting ridiculous statements copied from some crazy evangelist Insult = inability to refute. I urge you to calm down and show us what you got.

We see a person lashing out concerning the OP point. We can only conclude that the hysteria is caused by that point and the inability to refute. You have much repeated the standard insult of your opponent being uneducated. IOW, you are unable to refute the OP. Based on this fact, you are the person who is uneducated. I ask that you show the debate your intellectual prowess and address the OP point. As a service I will paste it for you here. All you have to do is blue box it and reply.

To blue box just put small case q and s in brackets before the portion of text and repeat the same after adding a slash / before the q and what is between will appear in a blue box. Good luck. Ray

Why doesn't someone explain how we know that nature didn't create atheism ? If it created religion, why not atheism ? This might well be the silliest question ever asked. Of course atheism rose out of nature. It's not like we think God created it, you know.
