It is the Spanish word for Roast Pork, or the pinic cut of ham, and rice.
Vodka martini with olives...

Are you maybe spelling it incorrectly?
The word "pirnil" is not showing up in the Spanish dictionary.
"Ham" is "jamon", and "pork" is "cerdo".

Re: Milk
what goes with peanut butter and Jelly, anyway? Milk?
Tomato soup. Grilled cheese sandwiches have don't absord the soup well, because they're fried. The PBJ absorbs it great. Light on the PB and the jelly must be grape. Eat two sandwiches that way, then finish the bowl of soup with rice in it. Delicious, filling, and you definitely won't need a mid-afternoon snack.

Nobody has said oreos and milk yet, which has to be way up there.
I also really like apple jelly melted on a hot chocolate pancake. You make the pancake by just stirring Nestle's Quik (lots of it) into the pancake mix. Every now and then I invite a bunch of youth over for chocolate pancakes.
Obviously you can't do my suggestions too often or you'll be on dialysis or chemo by the time you're 40.

Off the top of my head: might the word you seek be "puerco."
This discussion may be helpful.

Alternatively: Looks like it might be a Cuban expression as suggested by this from a food discussion forum:
quote:
Cafe Piquet on Bissonet is one of my favorite lunch spots near my work. They have great Cuban food. My favorite is the Pirnil with yuca and mojo. I would stay away from their sandwiches though, not very good .
Found somewhere on this page.
I'd better leave this discussion before I put another foot in my mouth.
!

No, the word is pernil. Not pirnil.
It is a well known word by most, if not all Spanish cultures. I miss spelled it.
Edited by riVeRraT, : No reason given.
