Hi Buz. I had a feeling you would provide us with comedy gold on this one. That's why I bookmarked it at the time. Neither forced arbitration nor the elimination of secret ballots represents forced unionism. Apart from the simple fact that US healthcare is (sadly) not a socialised system, this hardly counts as an amazing prediction. What you're basically accusing Obama of here is keeping his campaign promises. The monster!He said he would do this. It hardly demonstrates your powers of prophecy. Do you notice the presence of the phrase "Presidential candidate Senator Barack Obama" in that article? That's a clue. It's from Feb 29th, 2008! Let's try to stick to things that the President has actually done shall we?Besides which, I'm all in favour of reducing nightmarish nukes and silly space weapons. If this is what Obama is doing, more power to him. The US is the most powerful military machine on the planet, by a wide margin. Russia's military is, by contrast, outdated and pathetic. That might provide you with a hint as to why the Russians feel the need to invest in technologies that your military effectively already has.The US is spending quite enough on its military as things stand. In 2009 you guys spent US$661 billion on your military. That's 4.3% of GDP. Russia meanwhile spent only around 53 billion, about 3.5% of GDP (they have actually cut their military budget in recent years). In other words, the US is spending more than twelve times as much as Russia (all these figures are from here by the way). The US was responsible for an astonishing 43% of world military expenditure during 2009. I think we'd all benefit from seeing that in a nice bar chart. Tremble in your boots decadent Americans!
