Tonight (November 13, 2007) PBS will be showing a Nova program about the Dover, Pennsylvania ID trail. The program is titlted "Judgement Day: Intelligent Design on Trail" For info on the show...clicky clicky => Intelligent Design on Trial | NOVA | PBS I just wanted to notify folk in case they might be interested, and perhaps discuss the program afterwards.
I mean, this is America. Everybody loves seeing lesbians go at it, as long as they are both hot and not in a monogamous, legally sanctioned relationship.

Death Threats
The most chilling part of the special was the number of people who received death threats for opposing ID and Creationism.

Missing link found during trial
I just finished watching the nova presentation. I think the best part was where they found the missing link between intelligent design and creationism. Who would have thunk that the creature was 'cintelligent designist'. Haha! Added by edit. I guess I was more tired last night than I thought. The transitional fossil wasn't 'cintelligent designist'. It was 'cdesign proponentist', as one of the members pointed out. Thanks for the correction. Edited by Taz, : No reason given.
Owing to the deficiency of the English language, I have occasionally used the academic jargon generator to produce phrases that even I don't fully understand. The jargons are not meant to offend anyone or to insult anyone's intelligence!

I was totally pissed off at one of the local radio stations here when the decision was passed down. The assholes were talking about how Tammy Kitzmiller was baking Christmas cookies when the press came knocking on her door to get her response to the news. They were like, "I expected her to be sacrificing babies or something, why the hell was she baking Christmas cookies, how can she think she is a Christian?" I called the general manager to complain, to no real avail. I still shake my head when I think about it. I live in PA, not too close to Dover, but close enough that the radio station I was listening to, this was local news for them. -x

Also, the school board member that stole the student's painting and burned it. And the general dishonesty of the school board. And then of course, Pat Robertson calling down the wrath of God on Dover. But the death threats to Kitzmiller and the judge. A judge that the ID folks thought they ould have it easy with. Just wow.

Death Threats by Biblical Christians
While I doubt that all Biblical Christians can be considered so depraved, it is always amazing how often Biblical Christians seem to resort to things like death threats. It has even been seen here. Edited by jar, : fix subtitle

Help getting the Nova Show
It seems I can't play the show if I am not in the USA. Does anyone have any video capture software like "ZD Soft Video Recorder" that can be used to capture a file of the show? Thanks if you can help.
