Nuggin has just proposed (via a Proposed New Topic) the Nuggin V. Randman 2: They Might Be Giants. This seems to be targeted to become a "Great Debate" topic.
The initial proposing of a "Great Debate" via the PNT forum is problematic, as only the PNT originator and admins can post there. I think what we need to do, is to set up the ground rules etc. in a non-PNT, before the PNT is actually proposed.
For the above cited case, I here ask Randman if he is interested in doing this "Great Debate" with Nuggin?
We can also try to use this same topic, to set up future "Great Debates".

"Nuggin V. Randman 2: They Might Be Giants"...
is the current new possible "Great Debate" topic.
I posted this message to get that title into a subtitle, to bring the situation to the attention of Randman.

(you know that after you post a new topic, you can go back and edit a subtitle into it, without a second post, right?)

I responded on the other thread
Already responded. I will debate nuggins. My assertion is we have plenty of scientific evidence giants existed.

Re: Great Debate: Yaro and Carico on the ToE - Attn. Carico
Yaro has proposed a "Great Debate" with Carico here.
Yaro, in message 4 of the above cited:
quote:
I was hopping Carico would see this and accept. If there was a thread where we could issue challenges, so we could bump them to the top, that would be helpfull.
That was my intent for this topic. Carico can not respond at the above cited, because "Proposed New Topics" topics are messages by originator and admins only.
Carico - Interested in doing this "Great Debate"?

Another thought, rather than one-one one is team debates with the same number of people on each team. Or some kind of tag-team approach (only one at a time in the ring).
I had this thought after reading the admin comments on
EvC Forum: Can many/all religions be true?
As far as that post goes, I have had similar thoughts, not just on the unlimited ability of god to appear in many forms, but also on the limited ability of humans to understand, and that different populations would have different understandings of similar experiences due to the different cultural information base involved.
Then there is the question of god intentionally appearing differently to different populations based on the effect desired.
Then there is the question of whether it is god or some advanced race with telepathy.
But I think Mini Ditka and I would have substantial agreement.
The question is rather who will dispute this position.

I Have proposed a Topic for debate between myself and one or two people on who the Nephilim where. Read on Proposed Topics and see if you want to join. Arachnophilia would be great in it, and someone knowledgable in Biology would be useful to. But only 1 or 2 guys along with myself.

Re: Buzsaw/Brian Exodus Debate
Whenever Brian is ready to debate me on the Exodus I'm ready for that so long as it can go to the pace that I'm able to handle which may be sporadic depending on research time needed or time available for debate. I understand that Brian is willing to do the OP.

Re: Buzsaw/Brian Exodus Debate
HI Buz,
Give me a couple of days to type something up.
The pace of the debate is not a problem for me, I realise that it isn't always easy to find time to post.
Also, on the subject of pace, I will be in Lanzarote from 30th July - 7th August so you have ample notice of my absence.
Catch you soon.
Brian.

Calling nemesis_juggernaut!
What are your thoughts about the interpretation thread I proposed? If you are interested at all, would you like it to be more focused. It could be a 1 on 1 or even a many on many yet structured so that you don't get flooded with replies.
Here is the link Evolution vs. Creation Interpretations.
Edited by Jazzns, : Added thread link.

Calling Dr. Adequate
The OP for a proposed Great Debate on vaccinations is ready for your review in the PNT forum.
Childhood Vaccinations - Necessary or Overkill?
If you don't wish to debate or I don't hear from you by Wednesday, it will be submitted for the general debate board.
I look forward to the debate.
