This debate transcript is being reposted as a new OP. The original posting of this transcript got taken off topic very quickly due to misunderstandings. These misunderstandings have been resolved and the original thread closed.
The opening message by randman appears to be a quote from jar from an undisclosed location and is not a statement of rand's beliefs. Randman answers this quote in his second message.

On 12-24-2005 a formal debate developed in chat between Randman and Jar concerning views on creation. This debate evolved out of a, I'm sorry to admit, heated argument the night before in our chat room.
The debate did not have a formal beginning so I've included some posts leading into the actual debate which was moderated by Percy. (this includes my bumbling foibles) If the beginning posts seem disjointed it is due to first grabbing the transcript already partway into the conversation.
The only editing done on the transcript was to take out OT comments from those not participating in the debate and to add color to the black and white transcript to differentiate between jar's comments, randman's comments, and all other debate traffic.
