quote: alot of people say this, with a full understanding what is right and wrong.. but go down the wrong path because of temptation and greed. they will say they didnt know... but deep inside, (this is where you have to be honest with yourself, some people have a hard time in this area)you have the answers there are many brilliant businessman getting caught up in filling their emptiness with the temptations that we have. and when they get caught with their hand in the cookie jar, few repent but most continue the deceit and deception with the lies and defraudation. choices are made every day that determine who we are This message has been edited by veiledvirtue, 03-16-2006 11:39 AM

Interesting, veiled virtue.
But what do you think of the OP? Do you believe that the fossil record is proof of evolution? If evolution were proved, do you believe that this would prove God doesn't exist? Is there any physical evidence that can be potentially provided by science that would prove no god exists? evolution takes faith
God takes faith there is a very fine line in between the two leaning more on either side will have an impact on the decisions you make... they will mold you beyond your control faith has been most on target with what i think we all need to become better listeners of one and other.. we all have something to learn.. and when you think you have it all figured out.. think again This message has been edited by veiledvirtue, 03-16-2006 01:27 PM

evolution takes faith Nonsense. There is no Faith involved in either Evolution or accepting the TOE. Evolution is simply a fact. It happened. The TOE is accepted based on the evidence from many disciplines that show it is the best explanation for what is seen. There is nothing there to take on Faith. Neither has anything to do with the intial question of what evidence rules out a creator. So far no one has offered any convincing evidence that rules out a creator. Aslan is not a Tame Lion

Hello, virtue.
quote: Interesting comment, since you seem to have not gotten the point of my post, namely that there is a specific topic to this thread. The relevant sentence of the OP, in my opinion, is:
He believes the existence of transitionals in the fossil record, if they really are transitionals, means that God can't exist. So, in the spirit of the topic, what od you think? If the fossils really are transitionals and if the theory of evolution really does accurately describe the history of life on earth, does this prove the God does not exist? Does it prove that Christianity has no validity? There is no Faith involved in either Evolution or accepting the TOE True, but "Christian evolutionism" is an oxymoron.

Apparently this refrain is one I will never be able to escape...
...but deep inside, (this is where you have to be honest with yourself, some people have a hard time in this area)you have the answers The idea that you, veiledvirtue, can know what knowledge I or anyone else has "deep inside" is simply false. You don't know, and you have no right to make that claim. What, exactly, makes you think that you can state with authority what lies in other people's minds?

What, exactly, makes you think that you can state with authority what lies in other people's minds? VV's remark was a comment on the human condition, comparable to saying something like "All men have souls."

Nonsense. There is no Faith involved in either Evolution or accepting the TOE. Being a Darwinist your opinion is entirely predictable. Everyone has faith - not a matter of opinion. The only issue is the object. Your object is a limited acceptance of physical evidence while everything else is tossed. The physical evidence that you do accept is interpreted according to the needs of your atheist faith. Contrary to your silly insistence about being a Christian - you are what you argue - not what you label yourself. You are an ordinary atheist enraged and confused with converted Christians enough to assert God created the evolutionary process that produced common ancestry when neither the Bible or Evolution allow any such corruption. Since other ordinary atheists have no objection to the subjective assertion this lack of protest means what everyone well knows: The assertion is ad hoc, not genuine, and only intended to lash out at Creationists. We know the Bible says belief in common ancetsry is a penalty from God for denying Him Creator credit. Outfitting oneself in a mask of theism/christianity fools nobody and shows the objective person how unobjective you are conflating antonyms (Bible and Evolution). The ultimate authority (Jesus - your Savior, right Jar ?) told believers/theists/Pharisees: "Ye are of your father the devil." Imagine that; THEISTS/believers - people who THINK they are of God are actually in fact deceived by Satan ? Typology: IF true, then where can we find theist/believers today who think they are of God while arguing against Him ? TEists/Jar. So Jar, go ahead and be a theist/christian - it makes no difference since the Bible says theists/believers are of the devil while believing they are of God = you to a tee fulfilling Biblical typology. Whether atheist or "theist" the Bible shows both to be His enemies.
