I'm gonna hold you to this.
(Ain't gonna happen. McCain won't win. We will not go to war with Iran even if he does.)

Do you realize that Mcain has exact position as him on the war? Well, actually, give him about 2 more days and he'll probably flip-flop on that issue too. The problem with Mcain is that no one can make heads or tails of the guy. I've never seen anything like it in politics, which is saying a lot. He makes Kerry's waffling look like mild indecision. “There is something which unites magic and applied science while separating both from the 'wisdom' of earlier ages. For the wise men of old the cardinal problem had been how to conform the soul to objective reality, and the solution had been knowledge, self-discipline, and virtue. For magic and applied science alike the problem is how to subdue reality to the wishes of men: the solution is a technique; and both, in the practice of this technique, are ready to do things hitherto regarded as disgusting and impious" -C.S. Lewis

I think it highly unlikely that we will have any republican as the next president.
Have you seen the money raising and primary turnout disparities between the two parties? Democrats are motivated and republicans are demoralized and fractured.

That's why I said McCain will lose.
You Republicans got JACK come November 4. McCain or Romney? That's the best y'all could do? Y'all best just roll over and play dead for 8 years. Y'all's toast.

SO you're saying Clinton will be next president then?

Either Clinton or Obama. Obviously.

If Obama wins the democratic - very unlikely - I bet my life that he will NEVER win against whoever the republican nominee is!

Should you stick around long enough to be held accountable for this RIDICULOUS statement, I will hold you to this.
And when Obama wins a second term, I will leave you a little "I told you so" on a political thread.

George W. Bush managed to win the election in 2004 despite having shown the world for four years what a fuckwit he is. Its not ridiculous at all. You have to understand the demographics throughout the US - Obama might win in NY and some big states but he will lose in every red state - actually he will lose by a landslide i believe. Besides its just not his race that will be a factor - there is something else going to come up - even if it is not true.
Hillary has the best shot against mcain but even she would lose probably by a small amount similar to Bush - gore election.

nator writes: Democrats are motivated and republicans are demoralized and fractured. Looks to me like McCain and Clinton will get the nominations. I agree that it would take a miracle (like electronic voting fraud) for a Republican to win the next election. I live in ultra-red West Texas, 40 miles from where Bush grew up, Midland. Four years ago every other vehicle (mainly huge pickups and SUVs) had a Bush sticker. Today it is not one in a thousand. The voters even elected a democrat for the state house last round. Don't underestimate the disgust people here finally have for Bush and how much that will carry over to all republicans in the next round. Sadly for America "Kingdom On Earth" candidate Obama, the mysterious pseudo Islamo black radical with close ties to and loyal long time member of an Africa first church which promotes racist black supremicy in America with close ties to the Nation of Islam will likely be the next president of the US of A.
You can be reasonably sure every hyper-racist Nation of Islamist member will be pulling the lever for this professor of Christianity who openly mouths Christian rhetoric but cozies up to hyper radical black supremicy racist types who have friendly relations and close ties with the Nation of Islam. Imo, America is about where Germany was in the 1930s spiritually, morally, politically and psychologically. We're ripe a Kingdom On Earth envisioned by such a leader. As for the Republican primaries, that depends on Huckabee as to who he will throw the election to with his cache of deligates, perhaps McCain. He may make a deal with the one which would make him VP in exchange for his deligates if he garners enough of them for leverage on Super Tuesday. Unless Huckabee should pull out a trump card, I'll likely go with Romney. Neither of them is conservative enough to suit me. I began to lean toward Thompson, but alas...... America is about where Germany was in the 1930s spiritually, morally, politically and psychologically. Late 1938 or early 1939, to be more precise, when the world did nothing much more than protest Germany's annexation of Czechoslovakia. It will be interesting whether a US attack on Iran will the the "invasion of Poland" that will lead the world to finally say that enough is enough.
