Are you sure?
People (OTHER THAN JAR) would feel the way I had written, it's true, it's true!

"Wake up, O sleeper, rise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you."
Ephesians 5:14

Just because the Bible is a fiction doesn't make it a lie. The stories the author uses to communicate a message has nothing to do with the veracity of the message itself.
Please.

It's a direct question, yes, but not unfair.
Sure it's unfair, and the question for the record was absurd. I mean I know what you are trying to say but you don't see me.
The Bible is not fiction, imo... But the message would be questioned if one (world) were think that the book has flaws, (except translation.)

We are not talking about shakespeare we are talking about the credibility of "God's Book".
Shakespeare wrote some deep insights into the human condition that were very spiritual.
Our revels now are ended. These our actors,
As I foretold you, were all spirits and
Are melted into air, into thin air:
And, like the baseless fabric of this vision,
The cloud-capp'd towers, the gorgeous palaces,
The solemn temples, the great globe itself,
Ye all which it inherit, shall dissolve
And, like this insubstantial pageant faded,
Leave not a rack behind. We are such stuff
As dreams are made on, and our little life
Is rounded with a sleep.
The Tempest Act 4 scene 1
The Bible, like the Koran, the Vedas, the Tao te Ching, is a book about God or the Source of the universe. The quality of the insights are those of the human authors of these books and subject to human error as are all books.

But the book does have flaws. Genesis 1 tells a different story than Genesis 2. The world-wide flood never happened. The account of Joshua is incorrect. The Noah tale is fiction. Exodus never happened as described.
But none of those flaws relate to the message.

Please.
Well, I'm sorry that somehow you have yet to realize what anyone with the least bit of maturity understands - messages aren't less true simply because the examples used to convey them didn't really happen.
The Bible is not fiction, imo... But the message would be questioned if one (world) were think that the book has flaws, (except translation.)
Questioned, yes. But wouldn't it still hold up?
Why is it wrong to question a message?

I don't have a clue what you were saying or asking in your last thread.
The message to others will not be believed as "GOOD" if they think that the bible is unreliable.
quote:
Insistence upon dated and partially contradictory statements of how as conditions for true belief in the why of creation cannot qualify either as faithful religion or as intelligent science.

What is over your head, it isn't about the messages being less true, it's about the messages not being believed.

What is over your head, it isn't about the messages being less true, it's about the messages not being believed.
If they're true, they'll be believed.
What good is truth if you have to fool people into believing it? Wouldn't it be better to cultivate perspicacity in your audience, which would allow them to distinguish truth from fiction?
