Liberal mandates would feed you, shelter you, clothe you - regardless of how you got into that condition. Let's say that I lived on "land" belonging to some long-forgotten tribe and that by law it was taken from me and I became a desperate homeless old man who likely would die on the street? Perhaps out of a drug-addicted and brain-addled old mind I even began to steal from grocery stores for sheer survival. So what have your liberal mandates regarding honor and reparations then done for me?"I call that bold talk for a one-eyed fat man!" -- Lucky Ned Pepper

Phat, Phat, Phat.
We've gone over the answer to that question a brazillion times. Telling YOU that you must feed the hungry, shelter the homeless, comfort the sorrowful, heal the sick, protect the weak ... offends them what got. It was pure politics. The very same reason each of the creeds were created. The very same reason each canon was created. The very same reason each of the Bible versions were created. My Website: My Website

If Jesus was here today he would condemn everyone who does not follow his commands.
He would certainly approve of those who say we must feed the hungry, heal the sick, shelter the homeless, comfort the sorrowful ... and actually at least try to implement that. You are still still totally blind. Jesus never cared what people believed, what their ideology happened to be, he looked at what they did. Today Evangelical Conservative Christianity is nothing but 100% chewing their cud GOATS. Their lips are always moving but nothing of worth is ever said.My Website: My Website

Were Jesus here today He likely would see sin in both ideologies.
If Jesus were here today, the churches would be calling Him out as a socialist.Fundamentalism - the anti-American, anti-Christian branch of American Christianity

Phat writes: Percy writes: The statement should be, "The United States should abandon our system of employer provided health insurance." Well I strongly disagree with that one. This past year involved more visits to Doctors and specialists than any year prior....more than the previous ten years combined. I have a job at a unionized grocery store and likely would pay more than the $10.00 a month that I pay for the insurance...etc... I was suggesting a better issue for the quiz to raise, not stating an opinion. You're personalizing the issue instead of thinking about how we might better provide access to healthcare for the American people.
It should be, "Indigenous people should be returned all land stolen from them." Stop and think. Good advice. I was again suggesting a better issue for the quiz to raise, not stating an opinion. --Percy

If Jesus were to return today he would not Have a Little List.
He would condemn everyone in the Right to Life cult. He would condemn everyone who tried to restrict voting right or deny comfort to those trying to vote. He would condemn everyone opposing efforts to mitigate global warming. He would condemn everyone who opposes universal healthcare and a single payer system. He would condemn everyone that stormed the Capitol on January 6th. He would condemn everyone in the Right to Life cult. Shall I go on? Edited by jar, : appalin spallinMy Website: My Website

Would He condemn those who opposed religion? Would He accept those who did not believe in Him? Would He oppose those who did? Would He care what we professed and would He applaud those who did what He said regarding helping, feeding and clothing others? Would He condemn most current professors of Christianity? Would He thus favor those who were empathetic humanists who denied that He was real yet who advocated mandatory taxation to help not only the nation but the whole world? Would He mind the inflation and debasement of the currency and the dishonest ponzi scheme of the current Federal Reserve and Treasury Department? Lets Stop And Think. Phat writes: So would He condemn efforts to form a mandatory government who told us what we must pay, to whom, and for how much? Of course not. Jesus was not a Barbarian. Phat, has anyone ever read you the tale of the five fat years and the five lean years? God tells the Government that it MUST do what is necessary and make the people do what was necessary for the good of ALL.
Phat writes: Would He condemn those who opposed religion? Of course not. He clearly points that out in his lesson. No where does he condemn the non-believer. Now the later Apologists certainly did starting with John and most effectively with Paul. See Luke 4. Look up Naaman.
Phat writes: Would He accept those who did not believe in Him? Would He oppose those who did? Absolutely. It was acts not beliefs that were of any importance.
Phat writes: Would He care what we professed and would He applaud those who did what He said regarding helping, feeding and clothing others? Would He condemn most current professors of Christianity? Would He thus favor those who were empathetic humanists who denied that He was real yet who advocated mandatory taxation to help not only the nation but the whole world? Would He mind the inflation and debasement of the currency and the dishonest ponzi scheme of the current Federal Reserve and Treasury Department? He'd point out that whoever wrote that rant was simply uninformed, out of touch with reality and delusional. Phat writes: Lets Stop And Think. Self care first, reduce the A1C, regain your health, and stop using the forum as a distraction from your health issues. Obviously dumb stuff always draws lots of attention, you need attention right now, and so you're posting more and more obviously dumb stuff. Stop posting. Instead, go for a run, check your blood sugar, administer medication, weigh yourself, plan your healthy meals, do yoga, read a book, watch a movie, go out with friends (covid permitting - Colorado has the 8th worst covid case rate in the nation - avoid indoor public places for now - vaccination does not confer immunity). That "religious liberty" quiz was dumb. Let this thread die. --Percy

In other words, the kind liberals would treat me no different than other poor people. They advocate hollowing out the middle in order to support the least of these. Food, clothing, and shelter are not enough for me.
At least the conservatives want to support the middle class instead of wrecking them in order to appease and help the poor."A lie can travel half way around the world while the truth is putting on its shoes." ~Mark Twain " *** “…far from science having buried God, not only do the results of science point towards his existence, but the scientific enterprise itself is validated by his existence.”- Dr.John Lennox “The whole war between the atheist and the theist comes down to this: the atheist believes a 'what' created the universe; the theist believes a 'who' created the universe.” “The most difficult subjects can be explained to the most slow-witted man if he has not formed any idea of them already; but the simplest thing cannot be made clear to the most intelligent man if he is firmly persuaded that he knows already, without a shadow of a doubt, what is laid before him.” — Leo Tolstoy, The Kingdom of God is Within You

Phat pharts out:
In other words, the kind liberals would treat me no different than other poor people. all should be treated equals, rich, poor, white, black, male, female.
At least the conservatives want to support the middle class instead of wrecking them in order to appease and help the poor. what stupidity! they don't want to support anyone but themselves, you idiot. NAME ONE THING THEY EVER DID FOR THE MIDDLE CLASS OR POOR!!! they want to undo everything FDR did. Social Security, child labor laws, unions, you name it - they hate it."I'm the Grim Reaper now, Mitch. Step aside." - xongsmith, 5.7d

Food, clothing, and shelter are not enough for me. So let's say you find yourself hungry, homeless and jobless. Liberal programs that would feed you, house you, and find you a job that would put you on the path to self sufficiency are not enough for you. What is it you're looking for, and where are the conservative policies that are providing it? --Percy

Nobody but you is talking about " wrecking the middle class". Helping the poor will benefit everybody.

Rob the poor to suit the rich. You mean "Rob the non-rich, including the middle class and small businessmen, to suit the rich."
