Who, on EVC, do you find interesting and would like to have a meal with and maybe a few drinks?
Also is the person someone you would like to talk with because you agree with them or because you do not agree with them?
I find, in life, the best way to really know someone is to share a meal and a few(OK some times more than a few) drinks.
Who is that person for you on EVC?

Rahvin, Percy and Archer Opterix
Rahvin seems like he would be a fun guy to have a chat with.
Percy, if for no other reason than to by him a drink for making this place.
Archer, to find out what's happened to him.

Re: Rahvin, Percy and Archer Opterix
Well for me it would be Percy for the reason you mention and because he just seems to be a very interesting guy.
Also, Straggler and RAZD. I know, I know, what a night that would be, but the fireworks will make it so worth while. They are both very intelligent and very passionate in their views.
On second thought maybe best if I had a drink with each separately.

Any excuse to sit and have a drink is reason enough for me.
I'd like to sit and have a drink with most everyone on here.

I agree. I think it is fair to say that Percy's writings that have forced me to think most about my own position in my time here. Not in direct conversations with me. Just generally. My views have changed noticeably as a result.
Also, Straggler and RAZD.
Hah! I am honoured. And I would love to take part in that particular meet up. But as things stand it seems you would have to book two seperate tables and then pass notes between the two
On second thought maybe best if I had a drink with each separately.
That'd be fine too. I'd be delighted to drink with you. There are many here at EvC I would hook up with for a drink or two given the opportunity. Some because I am sure we would get on. Some who I would be interested to see if we could get on. And almost any because I would be very interested to put a face and real personality to the avatar and the writing.

Any time you're in the Sacramento area...
Actually, that goes for most people here. Coming up with a Top 3 would be pretty difficult.
Percy, Cavediver, Straggler, Modulus, Son Goku, RAZD, Onifre, Stile...
I'd even have a drink with ICANT. Just have to stay away from cosmological discussions.
A bunch of former members, too, like Jar.
This site in general has been a major influence on my life (it was instrumental in my evolution from a Christian to an Atheist and my rejection of faith and adherence to objectivity, and I can't think of many more significant changes to a person than their entire universal outlook), so I'd love to have a drink with a few of the people who helped shape who I am today.

I'd like to smoke weed with Smooth Operator...in a Planetarium.
Honestly, a lot of the folks here are super cool. You Theodoric, Straggler, Rahvin, Stile, Catholic Scientist, RAZD, Cavediver, Perdition, Hyro, Kuresu, Dronester, Taz.... I've learned a lot from conversations with these people here and imagine that drinks would be fun as well.
Top 3, I guess would be Straggler, Rahvin and Catholic Scientist, together. That would be fun.
For a conversation in differences of opinion, definitely ICANT.
And, just to see this smart, arrogant douche, Rrhain. (I meant that in a good way)

I'd drink with anybody.
Of course I'd like to meet Percy to at least thank him and give him a pat on the back.
I'd like to meet cavediver, onifre, Legend, modulus, dwise1, Stile, Bluejay, RAZD, Parasomnium, Straggler, NosyNed, Larni, Archer Opterix.
Remember Dan Carroll? I bet he'd be a hoot.
I'd like to know how crazy Brad McFall really is.
I think iano and I could have a good time talking about bikes.
lyx2no (#2) seems like a really smart kid so he might be fun to talk to.
People I prolly should stay away from: Rrhain, Taz, ICANT, Jazzns
But really, I'm not the same person in real life as I probably seem on here. I think the anonymity brings out the worst in me (and that it gives me the opportunity to explore different positions without tarnishing my wonderful reputation) Plus, I don't ever talk about any of the shit I talk about here in real life, it just doesn't come up.

Hi onifre,
Let me know whenever you get a gig in St. Louis and I'll come see you.
You remind me of a lot of my friends from college and I think we'd have a great time at a bar.
I'd like to smoke weed with Smooth Operator...in a Planetarium.
I'm not getting the reference here.
And, just to see this smart, arrogant douche, Rrhain. (I meant that in a good way)
Ugh. What a douche!
His profile picture is him if you just want to see what he looks like.

Will do, definitely.
I'm not getting the reference here.
I figured if I could get him high he'd see how the planets rotate around the Sun.
With some good hydro stuff I think I could get him to say "yea, man, ok, I see it now. Fuck, Einstein was right..."
His profile picture is him if you just want to see what he looks like.
No shit! lol. Fuck, he is Peter Pan

Yeah, please. You got a schedule or something?
What's your email? I'll send you my myspace page so I can befriend you if you've got something helpful there. Just don't bust me out. I don't want my realife friends reading all the bullshit I write here.

I got my schedule on my myspace page. Oni Perez. Don't worry, I'll keep our EvC musings on the down low.
I just got picked up by Carnival Cruise Line so I'll be doing a lot of their shows. When I'm not on that, I try to do shows in Florida to stay close to my kids, but there's an Improv Comedy Club in Kansas that has been asking for me. Also, the FunnyBone is in St Louis and they're wanting me to come out there, too. I usually don't 'cause there ain't shit to do in those places when you don't know anyone, but I'll make a point to get out there.
I bet SO's a prick.
Prolly, but even a prick can be fun when their baked.
And that puffy-shirt pic made me lmao. "But I don't wanna be a pirate!" great episode.

Alright thanks, I added you.
You did lose a lot of weight....

Stripclubs?
Some of the best stripclubs in the country just east of the Mississippi...
Or there's casinos...
The Landing, Washington Ave...
I travel for my job some so I know what you mean though. And really, St. Louis pretty much sucks.

cheers . . .
Thanks Oni, right back at ya. I think you, Jazzns, Theodoric and I share a humanitarian POV that is sometimes lacking on the forum. Would be cool to meet you over a beer, I'll check out your schedule to see if you ever tour Buffalo, NY. Though, it would probably be more fun if we ditch the Chomsky stuff in favor of girls, travel, and laugh-laugh topics.
Rahvin is a pleasure to participate with. He is always consistent with logic and his posts are usually fine examples of brevity and clarity. I like that he fully considers/acknowledges my posts, even when they might be lacking. RAZD too. Modulous is interesting, I don't know if we'd get along personally, I'd probably get much more out of our meeting-up than he from me.
Two of my favorite past participants are Dan Carrol, Ringo. Loved Dan Carrol's irreverent, and sometimes caustic wit. Errr, was Ringo a guy or girl?

I'm an oldy now - I don't know anyone anymore. What is interesting to me, is how people come and go, and always have the same arguments, and positions, even on both sides. It's weird really, like an ant-experiment or something. Why do the long-timers lurk? I don't know - sometimes it is satisfying do my bit to defend my God. I find many think of themselves as god, without knowing they do. If they learn enough they seem to think they know everything. A lot of it is jumping on the bandwagon. They know terms, but really, they're here to fight, first and foremost. A few actually know what the terms mean, such as Modulous and Loudmouth, Paul K, Parasomnium, etc..I can't drink though, with people who naturally will endlessly argue, as it becomes futile, and obvious that they love arguing.
Bye.
