THose bands (Blind Guardian and Theatre) seem like they are "just another metal band" - the names were funny as Blind Guardian used to be called "Satan's Heritage. Sound like they are dumb to me..
Not sure but these guys sound fake and not innovative yet again.

Get Friday Night in San Fransisco with Paco De Lucia and John McLaughlin. Murder by skill.

Pink floyd, Deep Purple, The Who, I saw in the '70; Yes and Dire Straights in the '80

Look to this day, For yesterday is already a dream. And tomorrow only a vision. But today We lived, makes every Yesterday a dream of Happiness and every tomorrow A vision of hope. Look well there to This day.

Robin Trower is not simply a Hendrix clone.
Bridge of sighs is a complete copycat record.. Listen again...
You need to listen to the older who--the group from the 60s. right now, thier missing half the group--Entwistle and Moon due to their deaths. Moon's death did to the WHo
That is the Who I have been referring to... "In their prime".... remember?
As to Zep, listen to some of their live stuff. You have four incredibly talented people--their bassist ranks as among the best (not to mention the stuff he could do on the piano. Listen to the song No Quarter, preferably the live version. Bonham the drummer is insane. If you don't like Plant's singing, too bad. He and Page were practically as one--a live version of Dazed and Confused will let you see what Plant did live--there aren't too many singers today who do that. And if you don't like Yes because of their "finger focus", Page doesn't have that. Try looking at the chords in the songs--very few are what you termed "blues power chords". there isn't even such a thing--a power chord is 1,5,8 (optional) of a scale.
The lyrics are completely meaningless drivel... and the guitar is not innovative but just way worse than hendrix ramblings of a fake copy cat con artist...
oh, and we've proved you wrong. Your acceptance of Floyd and Stevens makes your claim moot.
I said Floyd is mediocre with shit live performances, and Stevens was OK, nothing special... I still need to listen to Syd Barrettt.
Again, it seems as if your music choices are completely without innovation or originality... You are listening to recycled garbage my friend, recycled garbage...

Re: Complex Music
You guys all view the best guitarist as being the most technically efficient... LISTEN TO THE SOUND PLEASE!!! THERE IS NOTHING IN THE SPEED OF THE NOTES> WHAT THESE IDIOTS CAN DO WITH A PIECE OF WOOD. I WOULD RATHER WATCH TV.
That is what seems to keep Europe down these days...
All the bands you listed that I know from the UK are UNORIGINAL yet again...
The 2 from US - Zappa and Hendrix - Innovative as hell...

Prophex (in general) being a rather blathering fool
How about fewer but better messages? You're doing much to turn your own topic into a trash heap.

Just Face it
None of you have shown me any ORIGINAL or INNOVATIVE music from outside the US..
Perhaps Pink Floyd/Syd Barrett, but as I said it is doubtful, but I will be getting Dark Side of the Moon when I can..
Thanks for your response but it seems that I have provided an impossible feat so far...

Beauty is in the eye (or ear) of the beholder.
(The only one on your list that I would listen to is Hendrix. I remember the night he died.)

Re: Just Face it
Yeah, everyone knows all of those classical music composers were just hacks. How could anyone possibly like Mozart, Bach, or Wagner? After all, there wasn't an America then, excluding Wagner.
