Interesting. I have proposed an aproach for the individual. One cannot do this without some type of example. I have made obsevations that can be used to argue this standpoint. Many observation as such have been made by others without this response.
Aparently I did a good job since I am not for or against the basis for the topic.
If ya want it homogenized:
Is a theory science in the first place?
Argue that a theory is best taught in a theory class.
Give examples of how theories have led science down the wrong path in the past to illustrate the non scientific nature of theories in the first place. There have been far more bad theories than good ones.
Show how many people believe in the theory of evolution and point out that scientifically, belief without fact is religion not science. Attempt to show a line has been crossed.
A closing statement such as:
Science deals in facts- theories are not facts hence theories are not science.

I wouldn't take this tact because I know that it is flawed; it relies on a basic ignorance of how science works, and what the theory of evolution is. However, someone who doen't know any better might be able to argue it in good conscience, and if the opponents in the debate don't know any better then it may even work to help achieve a victory (if the debate is being scored to determine a winner).

Enough on the one item
2ice, this is too likely to carry this too far off topic. If you wish to open a thread on the meaning of theory please do.
If you continue on this thread you will be suspended for ignoring the topic slip warnings above.
Chister doesn't have a lot of time to prepare. The thread WILL remain focussed.

Not so bad, Chiroptera but...
Let's not carry this on too long. Your point is much closer to topic but it is too likely to get this whole thing carried away and Chister won't get what he needs.

Re: Not so bad, Chiroptera but...
The Chister is finished. But I understand your point. I was (perhaps too subtly) trying to goad taters into starting a new topic.

Oops I see
Ok, perhaps Chister could wrap it for us by giving us some details of how it went?
In spite of it being done I think there are a couple of points that deserve to be in their own thread rather than mess this nice tidy bundle up.
Please propose a couple.

Would you discuss it in a new topic?
Yes. Since I haven't had much luck with the few times I tried to start a topic, I'll let you take care of this.
One thing you should note. I can't spend that much time on here. Therefore, when we debate with each other you will have to be patient. And if by some miracle you happen to make more sense than me and the debate starts to go in your favor, I might just declare victory and run away.

ReverendDG I am very interested in your comment as to how evolution can lead to immorality and atheism. Could you please elaborate I am doing a similar assignment, trying to debate why evolution should not be in schools.
Edited by Dani2008, : Clarification as to who I was addressing.

Man what a dumbass you are. You should check out the more recent thread for much more well reasoned arguments.
Someone else has mentioned methods, and that could definitely be taught more in depth as well. Learn skills of contemporary biologists fighting real world problems like cancer, or HIV.
How exactly do they research this without an evolutionary construct, huh smart guy?
Oh... wait.
