Does any one know of any webforums out there for Christian believers who accept that evolution has taken place. Most of the web forums I participate on now are totally unopen to it. And while I find this board very helpful and appreciate and have learned from the views of non-Christians here, I would like to go to a forum where discussing Christian issues is done among ourselves without input from non-believers.
Thanks in advance!
Pete

Can be done here while you search
Welcome Pete, if I've forgotten to before.
It think we can have a sort of "great debate" thread where only those you want can join. Jar is an example of someone you might like to talk to.
We'll moderate it an tell off any who post inappropriately.

not looking for debate!
I think I was misunderstood. I'm not looking to debate whether evolution has taken place. I am almost certain that it did! I am just asking if any of the Christian participants on this forum know of any other forum where Christians gather to discuss evolution, the Bible, or any other topic, and of which they accept evolution as a reality. In other words, I might want to discuss the issue of Biblical innerancy or the intrepretation of the Old Testament with other believers who both trust in the Risen Jesus to forgive them of their sins and also accept the reality that God created gradually through time. It can be done here of course though there is a lot of input also from non-believers and while I think it is valuable to hear their thoughts I think there is a time and place to keep some of these discussions in house.

Re: not looking for debate!
sorry, I never meant that you were.
The "great debate" area here is limited to invited people. It is often used to have a discussion (and, certainly, most often a debate) between just two individuals.
It stops others "piling on" and cluttering things up.
But you can allow only invited 'guests' in to talk with. I was suggesting Jar as one I know thinks, at least partially, as you do.

Theists, evolutionists, and theistic evolutionists
Some definitions, as I see it:
Theist - A believer in God.
Evolutionist - A believer, or perhaps better stated, an accepter of evolution.
Theistic evolutionist - A theist who believes that God guided evolution. This may range from a little guidance in certain details, or micromanagement of the whole program.
Now there are theists who are also evolutionists, who are NOT theistic evolutionists as above defined. The may indeed believe in a creator God, but don't profess that God guided evolution, or at least that they don't know if or how God guided evolution. Ken Miller is such a person - A theist and an evolutionist, but not a theistic evolutionist. I suspect Jar is like Miller.
So, I'm wondering if you are a theistic evolutionist as I defined above, or a theist and evolutionist of the Miller kind.

Bump
Probably not answering your message 1 question but...
I certainly wouldn't mind a theistic evolutionist topic at this forum. See also my previous message.

It really helps moderators figure out if a topic is disintegrating because of general misbehavior versus someone in particular if the originally non-misbehaving members kept it that way. When everyone is prickly and argumentative and off-topic and personal then it's just too difficult to tell. We have neither infinite time to untie the Gordian knot, nor the wisdom of Solomon.
There used to be a comedian who presented his ideas for a better world, and one of them was to arm everyone on the highway with little rubber dart guns. Every time you see a driver doing something stupid, you fire a little dart at his car. When a state trooper sees someone driving down the highway with a bunch of darts all over his car he pulls him over for being an idiot.
Please make it easy to tell you apart from the idiots. Source

Hi Pete
Hello, Pete. I am closing this topic since it appears stalled, but feel free to propose more topics should you get a hankering to do so.
