Your proposal begins and ends with one topic, the topic described in your title that ends with an incomplete sentence, and the larger middle portion appears to address another. Could you either delete the middle portion or make it more clear how it ties in to the topic? And please fix the title. Post a note when you're done and I'll take another look.

Full title of thread: Not reading God’s Word right, is just wrong. No talking snakes! Thanks. Would not be pleasing to God.
At the time of the writings of scripture, those who directed scribes were also poets and song writers.
The idea of using a talking snake is a message to readers that what follows must be taken with a grain of salt because it is based on an impossible beginning.
That is also why they emphasize WORD, that the reader is to look for the true meaning of the words given.
It should be read an archetypal rendition of a best guess for man”s beginnings, in terms of morals sense. A term that requires knowledge of good and evil. A sense we all cherish in ourselves and would not give up.
In conclusion, to read scripture literally without knowing the true context and idioms of the original words and language forces one to truly believe in the impossible and unnatural. The Bible begins with a talking serpent and ends with ten headed monster. A clear indication from the compilers of scripture to not take the Bible literally.
Debate--Should the Bibles be read literally.

So you're saying that god is the singularity, the talking snake is the energy density, the cross is the Big Bang, Adam is the dark energy and Jesus's lifespan represents 1 Planck time unit. What a wonderful construct - the bible must have been right all along...

So basically you want us to ignore all the evidence within the bible that points to it being written by a civilisation that still held magical beliefs at its heart.
The original followers of every bible up to modern times took its contents as literal truth, why all of a sudden does modern society need to read the bible as philosophical writings in order to understand it?
Basically you’re trying to brush aside things like talking snakes so that you don’t have to deal with them. Let me give you an example:
John is in a book store and yells out to Marry “Look I told you Jabba-the-Hutt was real, it says so here in the good book of Star Wars”
Marry replies “You believe in a giant talking slug that’s unrealistic; no such animal has ever been discovered, and slugs can’t talk they don’t have voice boxes”
John stares back “No.. no.. you see Jabba-the-Hutt isn’t really a giant slug, hes a representation of a giant fat man”
Marry in turn replies “Then why didn’t they just call him a giant fat man?”
John sniggers “That’s easy, your looking at it to much, you haven’t seen the hidden reading as I have. George Lucus works in mysterious ways”

The bible is plain wrong, in fact it's the bible that created the myth that there is no creator or that it's not necessary. There are scientists who still follow the path of "logic" that if the bible is wrong then there is no creator and everything is evolution. IMO the creator is not even hiding, it doesn't even want to remain anonymous, we're just headed in the wrong direction - looking for him in thousand year old scripture full of utter nonsense.
But rest assured, there are still scientists who aren't so minded, to quote Michio Kaku on the Large Hadron Collider experiment:
“Reading the mind of God, that’s what this machine is for. We’re essentially recreating on a tiny scale the first chapter of Genesis.”

I would be happy to deal with a talking snake. i just can't find one. Perhaps you will lend me yours.
If you have dealt with it, you might give your conclusion.
Bible are works of philosophy. How else should you read them. Novels?

It's not, but through science in the future, I believe we'll become something similiar to what we think God is. Maybe one day we'll even be able to transcend our physical existence(maybe through another not so condensed arrangement of energy) and become oneness with him. That's my belief.

Godliness is a moral position. God is a philosophy.
Science is not good at philosophy.
How will science help find God? It deals with the physical, not the non corporeal.

I wasn't talking about tomorrow afternoon, our scientific knowledge is still very limited. I was talking about millins of years from now(provided we survive as species). On what basis do you suppose science in the year 100 000th, will not deal with the incorporeal(we've been around for 200 000 years)? Life on Earth is roughly 700 000 000 years old(the animal world), what makes you think after 100 000 years science/physics will deal only with falling bodies, inertia, acceleration and mass?
We are just beginning to open our eyes, so it's helpful to keep dogmas out.

Your focus is on the physical. I speak to the philosophy that will arise. The non physical. Scripture would call it the WORD.
It will not depend on the existence of talking snakes.
