In reference to a recent discussion regarding the meaning of Atheism, I questioned wether or not a commitment to Atheism would allow a person to continue to objectively consider the subject an intelligent design, people argued no, well...
Here's why I think Atheism could be a trap.
1. Lets start with the rediculous, what if God spoke literally to the Athiest, "Hi Joe, its me God, why dont you believe in me?" ; likely outcome is the Athiest interprets it either as a practical joke or schitzo voices in his head and checks himself into a mental health clinic.
2. God shows himself physically and performs miracles in front of the Atheist. Athiest intreprets it as a magical trick or a delusion, goes back to the mental health clinic.
3. Even if the Athiest or a group of Athiests who experienced the above amd interpreted it as a true testomonial of Gods existence, and even in they video taped it would other Athiests believe them if they were to try to spread the message? or would it be considered as a hoax?
So I pose this question to Athiests, what evidence would you require for God or an intelligent designer to prove its existence?
What would it have to do to 100% convince you of its existence?
