We topped out at about 18". Places north of Duluth, MN reported 42".
Snow removal went fairly well. We did construction last year and I have a large area to clear so figuring out the most efficient way to clear the snow has been a little challenging. Also, a snow blower went down last night. I have a John Deere lawn tractor with a 42" snow blower. The PTO cable that turns the blower on and off snapped last night. Luckily it happened when I was almost done. I also have an Ariens walk behind blower, that I offered to my neighbor. Glad he didnt have time to come get it yet. Now to see if I can source a cable in Duluth. Oh it is gorgeous out there. Looking forward to tramping around in the woods. One of my dogs is going to be very jealous, she is 8 with a bad knee so no running through the snow for her. We already repaired one knee, not sure if we are going to pay for another.Facts don't lie or have an agenda. Facts are just facts "God did it" is not an argument. It is an excuse for intellectual laziness.

It's getting pretty nippy here - just above freezing, but no snow yet. The 'first snow of the year' is now predicted for the weekend, but that's about the sixth time I've heard that since November, so we'll wait and see.
Once it arrives I'll be sick of it in a week. Snow apparently looks much nicer in northwest Wisconsin than it does in the middle of a city.

We're pretty good so far but by Friday we will have to start wearing long sleeves and long pants, maybe even shoes and socks instead of Huaraches, but it is only supposed to last about four days.

Sunny and sometimes some clouds for me for the whole week, up to 5 C by day and -5 by night. But hurricane Xavier is causing some problems for other European countries.

Mr jar,
I live in Canada and would like to purchase some of your weather. I can offer a twonie for every 500 W/m2 of sunlight that you export to my backyard. If it pleases you, do not export to the surrounding yards, I like how the snow looks on their trees.

If you're going to rent it on a per day basis then for a moderate sized yard you'll pay something like 24,000 $cdn for the cold months.
In addition, at that rate of energy supply you'll roast.

A $2 coin. Our $1 coins have a loon on them, hence loonie, naturally when the $2 was introduced it became the twonie. It's not enough to bash in heads, you've got to bash in minds soon I discovered that this rock thing was true Jerry Lee Lewis was the devil Jesus was an architect previous to his career as a prophet All of a sudden i found myself in love with the world And so there was only one thing I could do Was ding a ding dang my dang along ling long - Jesus Built my Hotrod Ministry Live every week like it's Shark Week! - Tracey Jordan Just a monkey in a long line of kings. - Matthew Good If "elitist" just means "not the dumbest motherfucker in the room", I'll be an elitist! - Get Your War On *not an actual doctor

Oh, how horrendous!
I spelt it incorrectly. I must seek the nearest correctional facility immediately! Apparently the accepted string of alpha characters is "toonie."
Loonie on left ($1).Toonie on right ($2). (Don't worry about the reverse, it's just some old hag). Once the snow kicks in here, they double as ice-cubes. Our smallest plastic bill is $5. You don't still use paper, do you? I hear that stuff is an uncivilized germ's paradise.

See, Toonies and Loonies I would have recognized.
Remember that about 95% of the population of Canada is down here right now.Anyone so limited that they can only spell a word one way is severely handicapped!

It's a balmy -22 degrees Celcius here in Saskatchewan, with a wind chill of -35. It's supposed to shoot up to -21 today.
I'm getting used to it but I'm thinking of maybe buying some long johns.

I like a big pot of Texas Chili in icy weather. Keeps forever and you can have it as chilimac, chili dogs, chili and rice. ymm.
