Do you have a funny story about your pet? I'd love to hear it! Here's what made me think of this topic for a thread:
The other day, my parrot was ate with a spoon! I was eating ice cream and my African Grey Parrot took my spoon out of my hand with his foot. (some parrots can use their foot as a hand for grabbing things)
Rufus calmly stood on the arm of the couch holding my spoonful of ice cream. He kept lifting up the spoon to his mouth for a bite of ice cream and then lowered it down again. Then up the spoon would go for another bite.
My husband I laughed out loud for quite a while. It didn't faze Rufus a bit. He just kept enjoying his ice cream.
Here is a visual aid. This is the kind of parrot I have and it shows how they can hold something with their foot:

Here is a cute video showing a talking African Grey Parrot named Einstein:

What's the last thing your pet did that made you laugh out loud?

Thats a cute story, I too have a Congo Grey and am constantly amused by his antics.
Here is my funny pet story:
My dog Ringo was developing a bad habit of getting out of the fence. So I installed a electric cattle wire on the fence.
While talking to my neighbor over the fence , I was standing close to the wire but not touching it.
My damn dog decided to come sit next to me and he was touching my legs. He turned; and his ass pressed against the wire and his shoulders where on my legs.
Needless to say it was a SHOCKING experiance. and my dog thought I was the one who did it.
He would not come near me for weeks.

Shocking experience, indeed! Tee hee hee!
I love my birds. They are a never ending source of amusement. I also have two dogs and a lot of goldfish in a backyard pond that my hubby built for me.

Demi's discovery
A couple months ago Demi discovered that there was a hidden secret room in the house. If you go into the bathroom, one wall can be opened and there was a whole additional room, one that has a wet floor in the mornings but miraculaously, dry during the evening. You open the door and when you jump in, there's a seat you can climb on and a hole in the floor and all kinds of scents and strange things to explore. Once when I went into the room while she watched, it was even raining. Raining right inside the house.
Needless to say, the idea of a secret room in the house was rather unnerving. But being the great ferocious guard dog that she is, she immediately understood the threat.
Now, every evening, we can't go to sleep until she's checked out the secret room to make sure no one is hiding in there.

I rescued a pregnant cat a few months back. When I brought her home to introduce her to my dog, my dog just stared at her with curiosity. The pregnant cat became ferocious and mawed my dog. He had to turn and ran. By the way, he is about 3 times her size.
My dog still stare at the cat, but from a distance. Never once has he tried to do anything agressive with the cat. The closest thing was he tried to sniff her. I think he's just curious about this weird looking animal.
By the way, when he was a puppy he was chased by our next door neighbor's cat. At the time, the cat was a giant compared to him.

Learning a lesson the hard way
I have a cat and over the years she has provided a near endless supply of amusement for my wife and I. One day when she was just a kitten, we let her out with us to explore the front walk. She immeadiately spotted a bug and being a cat she put her nose just about on the bug. It turned out to be a stink bug and it blasted her at point blank range. She must have jumped five feet straight up and when she landed she us using both paws to try and get the stink off her nose. I felt sorry for her but I was nearly rolling in the grass with laughter. Poor kitty!

May not qualify as a funny story.
This may not qualify as a funny story but it was certainly a learning experience. It's a D'Arcy story from the time before she picked Demi from the mass of squiggling puppies.
We were living in an apartment back in Georgia. While sitting in bed reading myself to sleep one night, we suddenly heard the sound of glass breaking. D'Arcy immediately jumped down off the bed and rushed growling into the living room. I dialed 911, turned the light off, got my pistol from the nightstand and slid down behind the bed.
Noises of shouting and D'Arcy's growl continued from the living room until suddenly, all got quiet. In only minutes (but it seemed like hours), the police were there and called out to me that all was okay.

Warning, not for those with a weak stomach!

Fearing the worse and not hearing a sound out of D'Arcy, I turned the lights on and went into the living room. It was worse than I had expected. Here is one of the official crime scene photos.
