We also have the phenomenon of parallax.
right, but how do you know that they're not wobbling around while we stay stationary?

So because we don't understand it, we change it? Hmm.

That's cool, but it's kind of crazy that we could actually have been wrong, and we are just running about trying to figure this stuff out, yet we don't know if we are right. We can't even understand where we live, we can't even understand what exists around us, or the creatures that dwell here too. Just theories...
God may be the only "being" to understand anything. But it's fun to try to understand. I guess it's fruitful too, to an extent.

Can anyone tell my how mathematically it is known that the earth is not the center?
There is no fact of the matter as to what is the center. Mathematically, you could pick any point, and simply decide to make that the center (i.e. what you will consider to be the center).
What Copernicus noticed, is that descriptions of the solar system are far simpler if you put the sun at the center. It's a pragmatic choice.

Could everywhere be the centre?
I don't know much about astronomy and cosmology and stuff so i could easily be wrong but...
Ok, i think its quite clear that the earth revolves around the sun, thus implying that the sun is the centre of our solar system.
There is, however, dispute as to whether or not the universe is infinite or finite. If the universe is infinite, does that not allow for the possibility that the sun and the earth are both at the centre of the universe, as surely in an infinite universe, any point could be regarded as the centre?

Re: Could everywhere be the centre?
Both the sun and the earth are equally at the centre of the universe, where centre means everything is expanding away it. Another way of thinking about it is that there is no centre.

This is an entirely different kettle of fish than what should we consider the centre of the solar system.

Coming from the side of Heliocentrism, how do you account for space travel? Us humans have been doing quite a bit of it for over half a century.
If our basic concept of the solar system is so flawed, how are we able to launch and retrieve space probes? Or do you not believe these exist? Would you say that every one of these missions was a hoax?

    Stavro
Ok Stavro let us test your geocentrism.
If the sun moves around the earth it need do so every 24 hours.Yet we have instance of where the moon is fully lit for 3-4 days in a row.
Can you explain with your model how this is so?

But I realize now that these people were not in science; they didn’t understand it. They didn’t understand technology; they didn’t understand their time.
