They expose people who believe in what they believe in for wrong reasons. Many people go through the education system, and they leave you no choice but not to believe in God...They bring people to their own conviction to what they know in their heart to be wrong. The Holy Spirit works in them to let them know the truth. Heh, I guess the lesson of the day is that it's easier to convince people who accept what they are told without investigation. Perhaps this means that The Holy Spirit works best on the gullible? /cynic

Thank you ohnhai, I had seen the banana bit awhile ago and found it amusing, but this one brought tears to my eyes. The following is from the end of their talk and actually in order.
I thought this bit sums up the creo position quite well:
Cameron: When you learn how to speak to person's conscience and circumnavigate the intellect the subject of evolution seem to disappear. I say amen Brother Cameron, circumnavigate that there intellect... And this gem:
Comfort: This is real good use of people like me, it means I don’t have to become an expert on the fossil record. It also means I don’t have to learn words like Rhinorhondothakasaurus. First of all, do any of you dino guys know what this is? Second, isn't this an appeal to ignorance? Belief in Creationism so you don't have to know stuff. Even if creationism is true that means that there is legitimate scientific work in naming extinct species.
Cameron: Now are we trying to be anti-intellectual or avoid talking about the subject of evolution? Of course not. That's why we have the Evidence Bible. And this is packed full of teaching on the subject and includes quotes from the teachings of Charles Darwin, Stephen Gould, and William Huxley. Who is William Huxley? Why would he have any relevant quotes? Please somebody tell me that these guys are not for real but a parody of the YEC movement. Even Henry Morris should be smacking his head about this one. Doctor Bashir: "Of all the stories you told me, which were true and which weren't?" Elim Garak: "My dear Doctor, they're all true" Doctor Bashir: "Even the lies?" Elim Garak: "Especially the lies"

I especially love when people will not call themsleves a liar. What's the big deal? You are what you are. If you believe in science, and you hold a rock in your hand, it's a rock. If you tell a lie, your a liar. Why is it so hard to admit? Your athiest, logical thinker, and full of knowledge, why does the truth become so hard to say?
I would think that calling somebody a liar is pretty much a childish accusation.First of all it requires the notion that any form lying is bad. Second of all, you'd have believe that people should be branded with a special word, "liar", to show how "bold" they are after lying. Look at what the interviewer says to the (supposed) atheist at the end:"By your own admission your a lying stealing blasphemous adulterer". It's the adulterer part that frightens me. This amounts to saying that being a hetrosexual guy with a healthy sex drive is wrong/a sin.

quote: No, that's a "fornicator." An "adulterer is someone who cheats on their spouse.

Oh I know, but all he asks the guy is "have you ever looked at a women with lust", which he then goes on to imply is wrong.
He called it adultery, although I don't know why. Anyway, the whole program makes no sense.

Matthew 5 27,28 writes: You have heard that it was said, 'Do not commit adultery.'But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart. Looking is as bad as touching I'm afraid, Jesus said so.

Thanks, Modulous.
At least that explains it to some degree. This message has been edited by Son Goku, 04-30-2006 10:00 AM

Thats right!, that one just shows how truely they misunderstand evolution
i mean comeone on the "experts" aren't experts of anything, all they showed was that we need to teach evolution better

Many people go through the education system, and they leave you no choice but not to believe in God.
So its either getting an education or beleiving in God?
I look into the eyes of the people they are talking too, and you can see the gospel at work in teir hearts.
Interesting,1. I never know one can see another persons heart through his eyes. 2. Even if you could how would you know what you were seeing? 3. I never knew that the gospel (whatever that is) can repair cardial muscles. I especially love when people will not call themsleves a liar. If they did, would you beleive them?
What's the big deal? You are what you are. Wow...really?
If you believe in science, and you hold a rock in your hand, it's a rock. So for those who dont beleive in science, its not a rock?
If you tell a lie, your a liar. Not true, lie (see verb) Lie Definition & Meaning - Merriam-Webster liar (noun) Liar Definition & Meaning - Merriam-Webster If I wright then I'm a wrighter? If I run then I'm a runner? ext... I don't know about the whole banana thing, but over all it is a good show. I have used it on telemarketers, and it works wonders. Is it a 'good show' because it 'works wonders'?

Looking is as bad as touching I'm afraid I wonder if this applies to coveting as well?

We don't get this kind of program in Ireland, so how common are they?
Are there channels which consist entirely of Christian programs?

Very common and yes there are even several networks that are just Christian programs. Google Christian Broadcasting (about 20 million hits) and you'll get an idea of just how pervasive they are.
