Hi all,
I'm doing some work for a personal project (hopefully will contribute to a thesis at some point). I need some help gathering information; if anybody could help, that would be GRRRRRRREAT!
The basic idea going here is that I want to use a neural network to solve a problem. However, rather than just specify the architecture for the network up front (which is a critical part of the solution), I want to develop it using a genetic algorithm.
Here's what I need, and what I have so far:
- Links / references / keywords for academic work in using genetic algorithms to construct artificial neural networks.
- EVOLUTIONARY DESIGN OF NEURAL ARCHITECTURES - exactly what I want, but it's like through 1995! I contacted the people there, but no response yet (OK, I sent email today... )
- Free software that does neural network training (preferrably runnable via the command-line option)
- TLearn - pretty solid, decent UI / analysis, but a bit buggy and no command-line option (i.e. no scripting!!!)
