What could be safer than oral sex between two lesbians?
Masturbating by yourself is safer than oral sex between two lesbians.
You had to ask and I just felt it was my responsibility to answer. I hope I've satisfied your curiosity.

Re: sorry...but wrong
Let's get back to the subject. Some people tried to evade the subject by saying how unhealthy and all that crap about homosexuality. Either directly quote from the bible or go away.

Hate world.

Re: sorry...but wrong
OK, Lam, I'll throw in a Bible verse just for the sake of debate. You know that I like and respect you as a person and that sexuality is not a criteria that I usually judge people with, unless they have a bitchy attitude. Anyway, does anyone know a gay couple that loves God with ALL of their heart, soul, mind, and strength? I maintain that so called gay churches usually focus on the RIGHT to be gay rather than the RESPONSIBILITY to love God before all else.
This is the commandment that I refer to:
Matt 22:36-40
36 "Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?"
37 Jesus replied: "'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' 40 All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments."
(from New International Version)
It is one thing to acknowledge God and live a life of ones own choosing. It is quite another level to actually LOVE God more than any other human. This applies to heterosexual relationships as well. Comments?

You say that as if it would be a shock for anybody to say yes.
Surely you aren't implying that gay people are all atheists, are you?
Haven't you been paying attention? Bishop Gene Robinson is gay and in a committed relationship. Would they not fit your criteria? He's a bishop for the Episcopalian church. Are you saying that church leaders do not love god with all of their heart, soul, mind, and strength?

And you make this claim because of what, precisely? When was the last time you attended an MCC service?

Jesus rewrote a lot of the rules
Incorrect. Jesus directly states the opposite:
Matthew 5:18: For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.
Jesus didn't rewrite a single word of the law. If you truly wish to follow Jesus, then you need to keep the Law of Moses.
quote:
However, some rules did not change, including the ones of Leviticus.
Like eating shellfish? I hope you've been keeping kosher.
Of course, Leviticus doesn't say anything about homosexuality. Temple prostitution, yeah, but I don't know of any gay temple prostitutes.
quote:
Engaging in intercourse with only one person for your entire life is not only good for a partnership, but also to prevent the spread of deadly disease, such as STD's, AIDS, etc.
And what does being gay have to do with this. Monogamous homosexuality is identical to monogamous heterosexuality. The sexes of the individuals involved have nothing to do with it.
quote:
Also, everything has a purpose.
Ergo, gay people have a purpose. And no, it is not to be persecuted.
quote:
Homosexuality is not practical,
And yet gay people have no problem having sex, proving your statement wrong by simple inspection. In fact, there isn't anything gay people do that straight people don't.
quote:
and neither is it safe.
And your justification of this statement is what, precisely? Surely you aren't going to mention AIDS, are you? You do know that HIV is transmitted primarily through heterosexual sex, yes? That worldwide, three-quarters of all HIV transmission occurs through heterosexual sex. The next most common vector is IV drug use.
And, of course, female-female sex is the safest sex you can have with another person. If STDs are your standard of being closest to god, then lesbians are the chosen people.
quote:
I understand that some people may be born 'that way', and God doesn't forbid BEING homosexual, He just forbids ACTS of homosexuality.
No, he doesn't. He doesn't say anything about it. Temple prostitution, yes, but the only people I seem to find having sex in church are Catholics, not gays.
quote:
Hope I have helped!
Nope, not in the slightest.

Bible or God
You use the Bible and God as interchangeable.
Paul does not claim that God is speaking through him.
Paul is an evangelist.
Jesus as the messiah would be the next authority after God.
Paul doesn't claim that Jesus is speaking through him.
Mark 10:17-21
As Jesus started on his way, a man ran up to him and fell on his kees before him. "Good teacher," he asked, "what must I do to inherit eternal life?"
"Why do you call me good?" Jesus answered. "No one is good--except God alone. You know the commandments: Do not murder, do not commit adultery, do not steal, do not give false testimony, do not defraud, honor your father and mother."
"Teacher," he declared, "all these I have kept since I was a boy."
Jesus looked at him and loved him. "One thing you lack," he said. "Go, sell everything you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me."
Jesus pretty much sumed it up.
The author of Matthew added: Love your neighbor as yourself.
So the question is:
Does Paul have the authority to change or add to what Jesus supposedly said?
If we do not follow Paul's interpretations or additions, do we truly miss the mark?

A gentle answer turns away wrath, But a harsh word stirs up anger.

Yes. My assertion and accusation, based upon limited personal observation, suggests that many of the "enlightened" church leaders present a social relevant message rather than a historic "yahweh or the highway" one.

If I recall this site gives a detailed definition of the original scriptures in regard to this subject (with language, times, and context) and of course the site's opinons with various informative other links.

Thanks
Thank you for standing up to this immorral behavior. I agree on both counts that A; the old testiment is to widely ignored by Christians to be used as proof, and B; That GOD is completely against homosexuality.

Please
That is easy. First, If you had the first message of this topic, you would have seen the referances, but here they are again.
1st Cor. 6:9-10: Or do you not know that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals, 10nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers, shall inherit the kingdom of God.
Rom. 1:26-28: For this reason God gave them over to degrading passions; for their women exchanged the natural function for that which is unnatural, 27and in the same way also the men abandoned the natural function of the woman and burned in their desire toward one another, men with men committing indecent acts and receiving in their own persons the due penalty of their error. 28And just as they did not see fit to acknowledge God any longer, God gave them over to a depraved mind, to do those things which are not proper.
Leviticus 18:22 states, "you shall not lie with a male as with a woman; such a thing is an abomination."
Can this be any more clear?

Re: Please
JF,
Why do you pick and choose? The anti-gay verses are next to other absurd admonitions. Things like laws on how to treat your slaves, how to sell your daughter into slavery, when its good to stone a woman. i.e. if a girl should be raped and dosn't screem she gets stoned to death. If a woman is having her period she is sequesterd for seven days. If a woman has sex out of wedlock you gotta stone her to death.
Those are all in the same books you quoted, so ok, God hates gays, but if your gonna belive that, God hates women too.
Or, maybe he hates the fact that their gay, ok, so he hates the fact that we are female.
You can't have it both ways bud, sorry.

okay...one more time
The anus is the doorway to a whole bunch of germs I'd rather not think about, and definitely would wish no one contact with. Surely it can't be healthy to have contact with such an area (yes, I KNOW we all have one!)
As for the circle remark, God allows that sometimes mistakes happen in the transcripting of DNA, and he might even have made it that way, but that does not give people the right to engage in immoral sexual acts.
