37.7021276596 or 37.7. We're a touch younger. I'm still surprised. I'd have thought the average would be over 40.

But if you stop having birthdays...your dead. Heh. True enough. On the other hand, there's no reason not to stop counting them.

a prime number whose digits are sequential Hey! That makes me and Arach the same age. Except that my sequential digits add up to another prime. Ok, ok, for the mathematically challenged I'm a ripe old 67 (very ripe, very old). That makes me the oldest posting so far. Sorry to drag the average off the deep end. Have six grandkids who demonstrate the Flynn effect to the extreme. (From Wikipedia: "The Flynn effect is the rise of average Intelligence Quotient (IQ) test scores, an effect seen in most parts of the world...The average rate of rise seems to be around three IQ points per decade.") They're already smarter than I think I remember that I used to be. I'm very happy to be in this illustrious group with average age of 37.7. Now, when people ask me how old I am, I can tell them that there is a high probability that I'm in my late 30's.

I've noticed that of the conservative posters who have given their ages, they are mostly either rather older than most or younger than most.
It's the "over thirty to under sixty" group that seem to be more progressive. Iano is the only one I recall being in the middle. I wonder what that means?

Well, that's eerie. Same here. It should also be noted that we both have crazy haired, open mouthed avatars. This confirms my hypothesis that those of us posting on this board who were born in May of '78 are awesome. The American Drivel Review What Am I Doing Today?

Zawinul writes: Thing is... recently I had to share the company of a load of 17 year olds, and girl told me that the word 'ace' was quite old fashioned. I was hurt at first, but I became obsessed with this and had to find out, so I asked lots of people aged 18 and under whether or not they said 'ace', and it turns out that there are a lot more young people who say 'ace' than those who don't. I'm 50, and my son is 18. A couple of years ago he and a few buddies stayed overnight at a friend's for a D&D party. The next morning when I went to pick him up he was on his friend's video game system. I looked at his friends and said, "He's incorrigible." A few days later he told me his friends thought I was, quote, "awesome," because I used the word incorrigible. Is that like "ace?"

Apparently so... My parents tell me that they trained me to say, "Boogie woogie oogie, get down," followed up with some disco dance.

I'd have thought you were more of a 90's kid, but then, I'm stuck in the 70s myself (and by all rights ought to be a 00's kid)

I'm 20 but I already feel I've done almost everything that's worth doing. Not that I have though.
