Are you suggesting that we create a dunce cap that say "I have faith"?
I may object to that but I am all for one that says, "i Believe in da FLUD!"

Of course, biblical creationists are committed to belief in God's written Word, the Bible, which forbids bearing false witness; --AIG (lest they forget)

That was saddingly hilarious.
That's one of the things I like about SP.
They've made me laugh at stuff and then immediately feel bad about. Then I say something like, "awe, that's terrible". But damn if it ain't funny nonetheless.

Don't watch these unless you have a high tolerance for shock value.
I guess the Steve Irwin thing didn't really get to me too bad since I had already been sort of de-sensitized by Scott Tenorman Must Die and Critter Christmas.

The sad part is that this is not so different from the pathetic arguments we get here.
I'm sure some Creationists look at that and say "Yeah, RIGHT! Now why won't my school board listen to me?"

Did anyone else see the episode of South Park last night? It is a two part episode but I guessing the gist of how it works out by seeing the first half is that Dawkins and Mrs. Garrison work together to rid the world of religion which drives humanity into an age of warring atheistic factions.
meh i found it boring, it really wasn't funny for the most part..though i will admit the part about the "big question" was mildly funny
its not that making fun of athiests rubs me the wrong way its more like, wow sp is running out of steam
though it is mildly funny about the "science save us!" thing

Ummmm...that was kind of the point. They were making a joke of Dawkins by portraying him as tolerant of religion (til' the end that is, after he discovered the truth about Mr/Mrs Garrison), knowing that no one without any knowledge of the subject (and Dawkins in particular) would "get it". I was cracking up.
And I so did love Mrs Garrisons "evolution lecture". My wife teaches an evolution course and I told her she should play that portion of the cartoon on the first day of class. She denied my request.

the message you were responding to was posted november 2nd, 2006. "go, god. go! (part ii)" was first aired november 1st, 2006, while the second part "go, god. go! xii" was aired the following week, november 8th, 2006.
obviously, i had not seen the ending (the bit about marriage, logic, and being a dick, and dawkins finding out about garrison) before i wrote my post. i probably thought they were going in that direction, but it wasn't the out-and-out "you're a ridiculous fool" charicature i expected (in the first episode).
Edited by arachnophilia, : No reason given.
