Mind-Over Matter
The Brain. The brain is the setting of the mind. It is positioned in the head so that it can control the entire body. It is also, where free will resides - in the conscious level of the mind. The body is dependent from the brain thus a deviation in the behavior is a result in the abnormality of the brain. The mind projects thoughts and ideas, and deliberates consequences for a decision. It is also a bio-computer which stores all the experiences (impulses) of the human senses.
The Conscious Mind. The conscious mind is the state and dimension in the thinking facet of man where all experiences are recorded. It is the one responsible in man’s interaction with his environment through experience quotation. As the senses receive the impulses (experiences), the mind stores them. The conscious mind is the controller of the free will, which is also responsible in decision- making. The free will is the finality of the decision. But before a decision is made, the conscious mind will combine first all the experiences stored on it and right away examines them. Naturally, all the possible consequences will bargain in the mind. If the free will worked on it and a final decision came out, then that will be the end of the choice as the essence of the decision made.
But why is free will strongly dominating the conscious mind? Because, man like among other creations, is still subject for evaluations, and this free will in his conscious mind will aid him to regain his position in the Kingdom of God.
The Sub-Conscious Mind. The sub-conscious mind is the complete records of all the collected experiences of the spirit (soul) from the very moment it experienced birth until the death of its material body, including all the experiences of the different reincarnations it already undergone, one after another. It is the totality of all its life experiences viewed collectively as one. The task assigned to a spirit or soul is the “blue print” of the plan he supposed to do, and all that he had done are recorded in one state or dimension called the sub-conscious mind. By the time that God will give the judgment to all His creations, the Divine Law will be His basis. He will not detail anymore on the individual’s record, instead, He will just evaluate what has been recorded in the subconscious mind of every spirit or soul. It will be just like a review of a film or pictures in a split of second and all will be through instantly.
The subconscious mind is not frequently on use, unlike the conscious mind, due to natural limitations of man. However, the subconscious mind is not a forbidden dimension and its use by our physical body is possible through different but restricted ways.
Astral Travel. Astral travel is the transmigration of the spirit and mind away from the material body. Through this method an individual can travel elsewhere in the material world in split of second while the material body is left unconscious where the exercise of meditation is being performed. This is also termed as “trance.” In this state the psyche or “third eye” will function to its fullest, and the performer will able to see different spiritual entities. He can also travel or pass through walls, under the ground, and other material objects - like an x-ray light passing through the human body.
There are two-distinctive levels in astral travel: the psyche state, and the spirit state. In the psyche state, the material eyes will cease to function but instead the brain and the performer will experience non-material life existence as if he is super natural being and may perform extra-ordinary things, like traveling at the speed of light. In the spirit state, the sub-conscious mind will open and the performer will experience hearing high pitch sounds and will see the spiritual dimensions of life. He will also see rays of light of fascinating colors traveling in a velocity from a very bright aura at the center of the world (Earth). This light is the life source of every living thing on Earth.
There are only two possible ways in doing the astral travel: through meditation and through the use of Divine Words. Meditation requires total body and mind disciplines, and the senses should be restricted away from any outside motivation and must cease to function through strict sense-control. It is not as easy as A, B, C because any miss-steps may cause any mental or psychological abnormalities like, comma or half-dead state resulting to paralysis. It must also be done with clean a conscience and a good purpose, just like doing it for moral and spiritual fulfillment. Nonetheless, meditation is the only way a non-Divine Word user can totally escape from the disturbance of the conscious mind.
Extra-Sensory Perception (ESP). The ESP (in actuality) is not a sense perception but just the use of the psyche (third eye), which is at the brain as the center of all senses. The psyche is only of use if the brain wave is on its slowest wave (alpha), and the senses stopped receiving stimuli from the outside environment. All the stimuli then are coming from the inside body particularly the brain. The brain is one of the three elements that compose man as human being: mind, body and spirit, and believed to be the abode of the spirit. This brain is the connection between the body and the spirit, thus the brain possesses the entire essence of the body and the characteristics of the spirit as well. This explains why our mind sometimes experienced out-of -the-world phenomena only the spirits can.
Mind-Over-Matter Principle. The spiritual beings were the first to experience mind-over-matter principle. It is not a gift because all spirits are given this ability but not all of them can perform the process successfully. This is also due to individual differences, like human beings. The reconstruction of the Earth in preparation for the coming of man was done by the spiritual beings as commanded by God through thought projection, a mind-over-matter principle where the mind defies the law of nature. For example, it is impossible for a man to walk on the surface of water but can bend a spoon through his mind. That is the power of the mind. It can defy the law of nature.
Faith Healing. Faith healing is nothing but a mind conditioning resulting to the formations of positive elements in the body, which is responsible in maintaining a balanced flow of the energies. Most ailments or abnormalities in the human body are caused by negative elements creating an imbalance flow of the energies in the system. The human body has a natural defense mechanism called endorphin. Endorphins are positive substances that counteract impurities, which cause damages in the system. Endorphins are produced primarily in the brain, spinal cord, and many other parts of the body. They are released in response to neurotransmitters and bind to certain neuron receptors (the same ones that bind opiate medicines). Endorphins act as analgesics (diminishing the perception of pain) and as sedatives. Chemically, endorphins are peptides (amino acid chains that are shorter than proteins) and are rapidly inactivated by enzymes called peptidases.
Studies show that anger; anxiety, depression, insecurity, and other emotional disturbances cause abnormalities in the body. These may result to high blood pressure, cancer, or psychosis; a severe mental disorder marked by a disorganization in personality. Since the mind is the controller of the body, all the systems of the latter are directly and, or indirectly controlled by the first. Thus, whatever the mind has the body reflects it because the body is the mirror of the mind.
It is always presumed that those who have recovered from their illnesses after being treated by a “faith healer” are successfully healed by the “holy spirit.” Only to find out that the factors that helped them to recover are; their faith which conditioned their minds and believe that they will be cured, and theirs bodily systems that lay the formations of positive elements in their body.
Psychic Healing. Psychic healing is nothing but a “hocus focus” done by the healer outside the body of the patient pretending to be in connection with the ailments. In fact, faith healing is not a “mind-over-matter” principle because the healer performing the healing is in direct contact with the body of the patient. The most common form of faith healing is the so-called “psychic surgery” where the healer performs surgical operations without the use of any surgical instrument. The blood and tissue drown from the body; however, have nothing to do with the healing of the ailment. They are from outside source and not from the patient. Thus, psychic healing is just like faith healing. It only conditions the mind so that the healing will appear to be real.
Medium Healing. Medium healing is categorized into two procedures. The first one is medium healing through the use of herbal medicines, and the second is medium healing through the use of a “medium power.” The first procedure is commonly performed by the folk-doctors or “herbularyos” in the local communities where they use herbal medicines in curing ailments, thus the term got its origin. Herbal plants have natural healing properties. These are effective medicines and are very useful in the remote areas where medical doctors are not available. In this case, the herbulayo has nothing to do with the medication of the ailment but the herbal medicine. He just took steps as the medium to perform the healing.
The second procedure is performed by those who consult to the spiritual entities through a payer or “mantra” in Latin (ancient) words. These Latin words carry spirits, which gave the power to cure the ailments. In this case, the spirits does the healing and the person who is performing the healing is just the medium between the spirits and the patient. There are recorded cases of unexplainable ailments and been declared by medical doctors as hopeless or “terminal sicknesses” but have recovered through medium healing. Cases like these are actually due to non-material reasons - bad spirits. And the best and only cure is to please the bad spirits by offering them something through a medium, i.e. foods, animals, fruits, etc.
Divine Healing. Divine Healing is the highest form of healing because the source of power is the Divine Providence who is the “Prime Source” of everything. Only those who, directly or indirectly, received the instructions from the prime source of power Himself or through His elected people called “missionaries” perform Divine Healing. Divine Healing is done with the use of Divine Words purposely for curing ailments. These Divine Words are fortified with spiritual doctors, who are, if properly fed by prayers or devotions, will actively respond to the requests of the user. Thus, the efficiency of the healing will depend on the following factors: a) on the personality of the person performing the healing; b) on the degree or seriousness of the devotion or payer offered to the Divine Words; c) on the procedure use by the user; and, d) on the personality of the patient.
Let us discuss each factor, one by one:
a) on the personality of the person performing the healing - The spirits guarding the Divine Words are the “good spirits” and they prefer to assist a user with good or credible personality, free from any stain of sin and carry with him a good spirit. Since spirits see each other they prefer to go along with their kind and reject those who adhere to the evil side. So, it is advisable for a Divine Word user to live a life centered to God.
b) on the degree of devotion or prayer offered to the Divine Words - Most good spirits adhere to specific standards: i.e. give and take process. Since they are purely spirits, they are dependent from the glory of God for existence. They do not feed with any material food but with the glory of God, or with devotions or prayers offered to them by human beings.
c) on the procedure use by the user - Remember that there are proper procedures or steps in everything we do, so as to healing. We must strictly follow it.
d) on the personality of the patient - A good personality attracts good spirit, but a bad one attracts evil spirits. Thus, a body, which carries a bad spirit, is being unwanted by “good spirits” and therefore unable to be cured by them (good spirits). So it is advisable before consulting a Divine Word user that a patient must confess his sins first directly to God and ask for forgiveness. On the part of the “missioner,” he must drive the evil spirit away from the patient’s body to avoid confrontations between the good and evil spirits. Accordingly, a good man living a life centered to God has a strong spirit, but a sinner has a weak one.
Psychic Power. Psychic Power is a gift only those received have it. It requires strict practice and discipline of the senses. It also depends on the degree how a person can activate his “psyche.” Culturing the psychic power is not an ordinary activity that can be done while the body is actively in contact with the outside environment. Thus, it is impossible for a clairvoyant to easily see the spirits surrounding him or fell their presence without going to a trance or meditation. For that reason, it is very unreliable to believe a clairvoyant’s answers to questions if he is answering them while in normal awake condition. It must be a hoax.
Predicting. Predicting is stating a probability based on past and present (available) facts summed up to possible conclusions. It is not synonymous to prophesizing where the seer can see beyond time and space. Predicting is a gift performed only by those who received it - by those chosen people. We have to reject those who publicly predicts only for the purpose of publication or public appearance, or those who predicts only for money. These procedures or styles are false because a “true psychic” is he who predicts in solemn places.
Prophesizing. Prophesizing is more divine than predicting. It is the act of the “prophets,” thus the term came from. These prophets are blessed with spirits that belong to a higher class and given the tasks as the mediators between men and spirits. I believe that there are prophets in every generation, foretelling the coming era of the chosen people of God who will prepare the Promise Land for His coming reign.
Witchcraft. Witchcraft is a practice of sorcery where the person induces harm to others using medium: an insect, a bird, a food, the air or anything that could serve as a means in transferring the ailment. It is the exact opposite of Divine Healing. A spell is use in the form of prayer or mantra in Latin form to stimulate the bad spirits who will induce the ailment through the chosen medium. The spirits involve here are those who leave their original life on Heaven and prefer to live down to Earth in the human world. These spirits may also be referred to as the groups of fallen angels.
Witchcraft is common everywhere, in every generation because good and evil both exist in all places, before and then. In the Philippines, witchcraft is identified as in the form of “kulam” in the Tagalog, “gamod” in Ilocano, “barang” in Bisaya, and “tanem” in Pangasinense. Those who received the skills from their ancestors who practiced the same, who transferred to them as the “legitimate heirs,” perform it. Once the power is transferred to the heir, the former holder will in due course die because his material body will reap the sufferings - like a boomerang-effect - he had inflected to others as punishment by the bad spirits he used for the evil things he had done. His soul will then carry the same burden.
Exorcism. Exorcism is the casting out of evil spirits away from the body of a possessed person. Most spirits in the lower class adhere to the evil side of existence as an end result of abandoning their original world. Lucifer, the “fallen angel” (also known as demon or devil) who was thrown out from Heaven is now dominating the Earth and the spirits who preferred to live down here are his prime preys. Accordingly, Lucifer is now walking among human beings and is seducing everyone because he knew his time is near to come.
There are bad spirits that may possess or inflect human beings. For some reasons they may use other people as medium to inflect others. They may also choose the body as temporal abode if been disturbed by the person or their dwellings has been destroyed by the later. And since there are different categories of bad spirits, different ways are possible to repeal them.
Aura. Aura is the positive energy within the body of a human being, or spirit, particularly the good ones. It is an invisible glowing light indicating a certain degree of purity and can only be seen through the psyche (mind). It always goes with the conscious and sub-conscious mind. The aura always goes with every individual, an indication that the positive energy always goes with the negative energy in whatever degree, side by side. Thus, the human body or the spirit always exists between the two standards - the good and bad, and the degree of brightness of the aura depends on the degree of adherence to these two standards.
By the time God will give His judgments, the sub-conscious mind, which is the storekeeper of all experiences, will be the reference in evaluating the accomplishments of the individual spirit. Experiences with good intentions - experiences with the free will’s choice to adhere to the good side - are contributory for a brighter aura, and those experiences - those with evil intentions - reduce the brightness. The purer the spirit, the brighter the aura, and the weaker the spirit, the dimmer it is. Thus, spirits with glowing auras have better existence, and it explains why those, which adhered to the evil side of existence, are almost of no auras at all. The brightest of all auras is God Himself, who is the ultimate source of glory and goodness.
The aura also indicates concentration of life force in the human body, in the spiritual point of view. Once a human body loses its aura, it means loses of life. Therefore, the aura has nothing to do with the physical condition of the material body but with the mind and spirit, and it always goes with the latter. Thus, when the body is dead all the indications of the presence of spirit will eventually fade away leaving it (body) as a mere matter returning to where it came from - the ground - as it loses its aura.
Dreams. The conscious mind is responsible in interpreting experiences in decision-making situations. It is the one dominating the control of the free will. The sub-conscious mind seldom contributes and works on its own range of influence in a way the conscious mind unaware about it. If the influence is so strong, it can in certain degree, afflict the conscious mind, and this result to “dreaming.” After dreaming, a person can then decide on things that concern it. The person has no total control on what is in his dream because his free will has no control of the subconscious mind, which is responsible for it.
Dreams usually occur when a person is emotional. This triggers the connection between the conscious and sub-conscious mind. In this way, the conscious mind unconsciously quit-witted the subconscious mind, which will then eventually displays responsorial-effect of influence called dream. This is the reason why most dreams are associated or have relations to experiences as stored in the conscious mind, which are simultaneously recognized by the subconscious mind. Imagining is the work of the conscious mind, as dreaming is the work of the subconscious mind.
There is no established rule in interpreting dreams and it depends on the probability recognized by the dreamer, or the person interpreting it. Only those who received the “gift of prophecy” can interpret dreams.
