Re: Here is the real thing!
if 2000 was the 80s. I dont think so.
National issues aside, I dont suppose then that this

would have to be considered to be "the real

deal?"
Sorry If I am pessimistic, it was a nice production and I would have aired it on a TV show I did on creation and evolution to generate talk, as it was entertaining indeed, but what we need for CvE is things that will advance the discussion more than serve as intermission breaks and polar discussions outside the topic (this threaded one etc.).

Re: Here is the real thing!
they must be "The Straw Men (lyrics by E. Godd, music by A. Dom, featuring J. Saver on vocals)"
It's from their latest album, "Faith!--it's a changin'"
promising band, but their rythym section really needs some work--they just aren't feeling it.

Sometimes pastiche just writes itself.
With apologies to Pink Floyd and to an excellent song ...
You think that the Earth is so young, you're incredibly dumb.
Whine on, you crazy Hovind.
Now you've had such a surprise, from the IRS guys.
Whine on, you crazy Hovind.
You were caught by the tax laws, you didn't regard 'em;
shown up as real sleaze.
Come on you target for faraway laughter,
come on you faker, you wannabe martyr, and whine!
You went shooting your mouth off too soon, you behaved like a loon.
Whine on, you crazy Hovind.
Threatened by folks who are right, and exposed to the light.
Whine on, you crazy Hovind.
Well you filled out your tax forms with lack of precision;
shown up as real sleaze.
Come on you raver, you seer of visions,
come on you prater, you griper, you sniveller, and whine!

The Inordinate Fondness For Beatles.
Isn't that running into the 10th set DVD now?
I know my set is incomplete, and it has some great covers on those old tunes
Country Joe and the Fossils doing "Ruby Tuesdayist" and "Isn't it Good Nowegian Wood Rings"
The Eye Focalist Retinue doing "Octopuses Garden" as an instrumental piece done underwater
But my favorite is Jar and the Juvenile Geologist Jammers doing "Maxwell's Hammer" in an open air concert at the bottom of the Grand Canyon.
Edited by RAZD, : more of course

The Jammers rock. They don't take no schist off nobody.
