Grizz On Secular Humanist Colleagues
Forum: Miscellaneous Topics in Creation/Evolution. Topic: An Open Letter to my Secular Humanist Colleagues
This is a superbly thought out OP in New Member Grizz's thread, an open letter to fellow secular humanists. Though I don't share Grizz's agnosticism, imo this is well worth the read as the message lays out some significant points for all members to ponder regarding things like orthodoxy and intellectual treason.

RAZD for whole Great Debate so far
RAZD is being very patient and very thorough. Keys doesn't realize the corner that he, Keys, is painting himself into.
RAZD isn't jumping on him (yet ) but seems to be waiting until the painting is very complete. It is fun to watch.
In addition, the thread is growing into a very useful collection of information, links and RAZD's careful exposition.
{Added by edit: Creation Museum Age of the Earth is False (KEYS and RAZD) is the topic. - Adminnemooseus}

Emphatically seconded! RAZD is probably the most thorough of all the posters here at EvC, and I'm amazed at the enormous wealth of knowledge he's displayed in that thread alone. He's definitely kicking butt.

dwise1 is wise indeed
And he imparts that wisdom with a clear explanation.
This one is so good maybe we should just post it at the top of any ID threads and be done with it.

Re: RAZD for whole Great Debate so far
You know, I was thinking about doing the same thing. But I see you beat me to the punch Oh well, that's what happens when you check this board around once a week in the summer.
I will third the nomination. That thread is a monster, and one I would not have the patience to deal with. And RAZD, as I understand, is currently going through some form of hell thanks to the cancer and still doing this. Incredible.
Thanks, RAZD.

Codegate for helping simplify ( )
Message 39 and the next one.
I think this is a better place to start before discussing actual dendochronology. It is a good example and with the addition of colors it give some more flavor of the actual method of correlating rings.
The emphasis on correlation also shows a real understanding of what is going on.
Of course, it is wasted on anyone with an IQ under 70.

Re: Codegate for helping simplify ( )
That was a pretty good post.
And the next post really clinches it, too.

Thread: Hovind's solitary considerations
Message:
Percy writes:
The jailhouse tapes* reveal that Jo Hovind had long experienced pangs of grave doubt about the choices her husband made. If tone of voice is any indication, she often anguished over his demands and actions. She no more deserves prison than my wife, also 51 and also a grandmother, deserves prison. Depending upon your age, imagine a wife or mother or daughter going to prison. It's a terrible thing to contemplate, and a terrible ordeal to impose upon a sincere believing church-goer. At one time her days were probably filled with church bake sales, visiting the sick, raising money for the poor, and gathering donations for the local soup kitchen. Sure she went to the bank and withdrew $9500 every time her husband asked, but so what? For that she deserves prison? Listen to the jailhouse tapes. She's a victim, not a perpetrator.
