The only thing that will make believers out of non believers is either miracles or a recognition of the Perfection of the systems that God has set in place for us to live in It is strange that you seem to assume that recognition is somehow a given based on your definition of 'Perfection of systems' when there is no such system in nature. That is of course unless you wish to define perfection in your own way to suit your contentions.
I should add that a direct communication also does the trick. And this means what? A direct line via bell telephone? Ham radio? ESP? "The world is so exquisite, with so much love and moral depth, that there is no reason to deceive ourselves with pretty stories for which there's little good evidence. Far better, it seems to me, in our vulnerability, is to look Death in the eye and to be grateful every day for the brief but magnificent opportunity that life provides." - Carl Sagan, Billions and Billions

It(DNA) has served us well for 30,000 years. that is perfect enough for this boy. Which 30,000 out of the 200,000 years Homo sapiens has been around it that? Which 30,000 out of 6 million years hominids have been around is that? Which 30,000 out of 3.5 billion years life has been around is that? Well? Or is that just the years without death and disease from mutations and genetic flaws .... Enjoy. compare Fiocruz Genome and fight Muscular Dystrophy with Team EvC! Standard definitions for Perfection will do.
Our planet is a good place to look for perfect systems. The Bible even proclaims it when it speaks of the bird not worrying about tomorrow etc. God provides. I s a flower or a baby not Perfect systems. Telepathy is real and is used by God as He so wishes. We usually call it the Holy Ghost. RegardsDL

All of the above. So you are going to say something essentially meaningless, not substantiate it and move on to another meaningless statement. bye. compare Fiocruz Genome and fight Muscular Dystrophy with Team EvC! Our planet is a good place to look for perfect systems You have already mentioned this. However you have yet to offer an example of perfect system {since the standard definition is ok here we go} Merriam-Webster Online Dictionary
Main Entry: 1per·fect Pronunciation: 'p&r-fikt Function: adjective Etymology: Middle English parfit, from Anglo-French, from Latin perfectus, from past participle of perficere to carry out, perfect, from per- thoroughly + facere to make, do -- more at DO 1 a : being entirely without fault or defect : FLAWLESS b : satisfying all requirements : ACCURATE c : corresponding to an ideal standard or abstract concept d : faithfully reproducing the original; specifically : LETTER-PERFECT e : legally valid2 : EXPERT, PROFICIENT 3 a : PURE, TOTAL b : lacking in no essential detail : COMPLETE c obsolete : SANE d : ABSOLUTE, UNEQUIVOCAL 4 obsolete : MATURE 5 : of, relating to, or constituting a verb form or verbal that expresses an action or state completed at the time of speaking or at a time spoken of 6 obsolete a : CERTAIN, SURE b : CONTENTED, SATISFIED 7 of a musical interval : belonging to the consonances unison, fourth, fifth, and octave which retain their character when inverted and when raised or lowered by a half step become augmented or diminished 8 a : sexually mature and fully differentiated b : having both stamens and pistils in the same flower Since the onus is on you to back up your claim then I will allow you to clarify matters by offering an example of perfection according to the definitions herein {please follow numbering system to establish which definition you are refering to.} and tell us how the example is perfect in your own words. Far better, it seems to me, in our vulnerability, is to look Death in the eye and to be grateful every day for the brief but magnificent opportunity that life provides." - Carl Sagan, Billions and Billions

The universe has been in progress for many years.
It it were not perfect for us, we would not likely be here. If one cannot believe in a God that is perfect then one cannot be a Christian. Placing limits to God is not allowed. Our purpose is to reproduce and learn of good and evil. We are doing both successfully, perfectly. RegardsDL

I'm not convinced 'the system' is perfect. We have successfully evolved on earth through the grace of God but still we are facing extreme famine and are successfully destorying the world.

Populations rise even as we suffer all the woes that God has created and subjects man to.
More seek God today than ever before. Things are good as far as God is concerned, I would think. There is a job for man though in the larger picture and that is of working on the numbers of the woe in question. RegardsDL

I don't usually join debates, but after reading this thread, I just had to point something out.
There have been quite a few attempts throughout this thread to come up with some evidence that would constitute proof of a god. It has been pointed out that the 'proof requirements' that people have suggested could also be attributed to a superior alien or alien race. So I would like to propose what I think could be the only actual proof of a god, specifically the God of the bible. Since the Bible God is credited with creating the universe, it would seem to me that it would be easy for this 'being' to create a planet, or a star, or a simple moon, or a nebula that spells the word G-O-D or something. An act or miracle such as this would be the only real proof of a god. Thank you, Coach

Taliesin writes: ...what specific evidence or at least what types of evidence would people require to believe in the existence of God... All God has to do is have someone speak the words, in order, that are written on the paper, in the sealed envelope, in my safety deposit box. What can I say? I have a low threshold for belief.

I agree.
Only a miracle will ever convince some. Including myself. I was an extremely potent non believer before God communicated with me. Without this direct contact I doubt that I would believe especially when the Bible is so hard to understand. Especially when the church itself seems confused. IE. Why does the church baptise when Jesus already paid for all the sins of mankind. Babies are born perfect and have no original sin. Unless one sees the perfection of God's systems or has some kind of personal experience with God, I do not see anything writen that in and of itself points to God. Unfortunate indeed. RegardsDL
