Thank you. We can always use more members. Seeing what this organization has accomplished just by harnessing spare time is rather humbling.
Enjoy.

It certainly is.
If anyone is wondering why they should lend World Community Grid some of their computers spare processing time, take a look at this video. It contains testimonials from those who have used WCG.

Re: Welcome aboard. New Members always welcome.
My personal testimonial is at Cancer Survivors. It is now 3 years since my initial diagnosis, and 1-1/2 years since my bone marrow transplant. So far all is going well.
Certainly it is medical technology that means I have more time to spend with friends and relatives in these seasons, and that helping in any little way so that others may have the same opportunity is a small gift to give of your time.
Enjoy.

RAZD,
You made me a believer! I am now a World Community Grid adherant. I downloaded it this past weekend and am grateful to actually attempt to contribute to the medical/social breakthroughs that can be accomplished with the WCG.
BTW, my wife and I wish you the best in your battle against cancer. My wife herself was diagnosed with Multiple Schlerosis last year, so anything we can do to help medicical and scientific progress, is definately a plus in my book.
Thanks again!

Re: BUMP for NEW PEOPLE
Sitting in a small seminar on HIV, listening to a lecture by Art Olson. He's got some fantastic physical models on how stochastic processes (e.g. "shaking a jar filled with parts") can lead to viral assembly.
And now he's talking about the World Community Grid and his part in the start-up. Sign up!
Also about to hear from Rik Belew on the computational methods behind their "molecular docking" simulator and search procedures.
